I was referring to the data downlink not who was actually flying them. These would also be CIA aircraft

The beauty of the Constitution is it does not matter what any given moonbat thinks is the President, we honor our obligations.

In this case it was Bush/Clinton who drove it, but it was never a legally binding treaty we must uphold.

Probably some news guy grabbed a old photo as "representative" and didnt know how to tell a wood gun from a real one.

Many of our more iconic photos from WWII were staged to some extent.

When I saw his hand sliding towards the fire controls I was expecting another kind of oopsie. His handling of the rifle otherwise suggests he is comfortable with it.

Prior to the invasion the Ukrainian government was handing out wooden replicas as a way to train. I believe I read the day of the invasion the government finally released automatic weapons to the citizens who wanted them.

Raising the flag on Iwo Jima is a great example.

Although we did raise a flag there, it was actually raised a second time for the iconic photo. Not bitching about it in any way, just an example and something most anyone would recognize.

For several reasons. Putin is amassing forces under the auspices of an exercise, the US/NATO are doing the same. It's a show of force, sending a message that if he (Putin) does invade Ukraine, there is a possibility of a US/NATO response.

Plus, while a little early, it is common for forces to deploy to Europe for NATO exercises (BALTOPS, Sabre Strike, etc.).
