My Springfield EMP fills the 9mm 1911 niche.
Mine has shot everything I have put through it. They do say not to feed it a steady diet of +P ammo due to potentially damaging the frame, but I keep it loaded with standard pressure JHP when I carry it. I have not tried running steel case ammo through it, but I may take it out if I ever get a day off and run a few mags just to find out.I have actually been trying to find a good used EMP, but was told recently that they are very picky on what ammo you use.
Is that true or just another nay-sayer?
I really do like them.

Most shooter get over 50k rnds no problem. It's when you start to reload mouse fart loads when I see problemsNot feelin' it. Looks like a fine weapon, but there's too many changes and alterations to the classic 1911 lines and added-on modern doodads.
I have an addiction to DW and CZ
LOL!! When I got my .45 ECO, I thought it was an affliction, but a trip back to DW and it turned back into an addiction. Your friend sure is nosy. LOL!An addiction, or affliction?
Asking for a friend of course!

Yeah, that's not a 1911, it's a 2011. It's a nice looking weapon, but doesn't look like a 1911.Not feelin' it. Looks like a fine weapon, but there's too many changes and alterations to the classic 1911 lines and added-on modern doodads.
No, but Mr Browning would give it a thumbs up.
The original designer would have produced the 1911 in reference if he could have.
that being said, I own a Springfield milspec 45
It shoots just fine, eats any ammo I put in it, never once jammed on me. And I really tried to make it jam, put hollow points in it, shot it till it’s hot and dirty, then tried to make it jam by not gripping it correctly. And it still would not fail to feed or chamber the next round. The gun has its place, on my nightstand. Nothing like 8 rounds of 230 grain ranger Winchester if things go bump in the night. And if that isn’t enough, my maverick 88 7+1 12 gauge is next in line.
Yeah, that's not a 1911, it's a 2011
You forgot to add the "they all should be banned" Hillary.1911/2011
At this point, what difference does it make?
