It won't be anytime soon. It's part of a much larger project where I'm testing accuracy of factory .38 wadcutter loads. I have boxes of ammo from over 20 different manufacturers and it'll be quite a while before I get through all of it. Look for results about the end of next summer.I am looking forward to the chronograph data report.
Been shooting the hell outta my 6.5 creedmoor and 6 creedmoor the last year. I call it my “group” therapy. Go to the range, and do my best to put 5 through one hole. Won’t say I’m bored, but decided I need a new project to do some load development on, so I got a Ballistic Advantage 223 Wylde barrel and gonna put together another AR. Getting ready to work on some loads for it, and thought I’d get some input on powders. I’ve got 5 lb’s of CFE223, so I’m going to start with that, but there are a couple sites offering free hazmat with minimum purchase, so if there are better powders it might be the time to pick some up. Gonna be loading up some 55 grain FMJ for plinking, but I also have several other heavier bullets to test in the 60-75 grain weight. Should I pay the $50 a lb they are asking for Varget? Or just stick with the CFE223?

I’ve shot my best 223 groups with H335 powder.
I could get on a soapbox here….>Curiously, in .38 +P, they list the max at 4.7gr for HP-38 (same powder as W231) and with a jacketed 158gr bullet yet. I have been of the opinion for a decade or more that today's +P is yesterday's standard service load.
Just think of it as kinder, gentler ammo...

Turning 357 brass into 256 Winchester mag.

Virtually everything has been dumbed down for safety or “Diversity“ reasons anymore and leave it at that.
Seasoned Reloaders will never get rid of the old manuals they have.
That said, new reloaders and old manuals can get you in trouble pretty quickly if not careful.
You can‘t fix stupid, but smokeless power can!
