Sorted my last haul from the range. I shot about 75 rounds of each (9mm, .40, and .45). The rest was from sweeping the floor and picking up brass that was left by other members before I got there. 60 rounds .45, 220 rounds of .40, and 440 rounds of 9mm extra over what I shot! Pretty good haul for 15 mins worth of sweeping!

Also ended up with about 30 rounds of 30.06 and about 100 rounds of .308!

Shot most of the 90 .45 Colt black powder loads today at the reunion. And managed to scrounge a bunch more .45 brass that someone else left on the ground.
30 grains of fffg black powder with 200 grain RFN. Them things are fun!

These hand ones leave me with blisters and don't really do the trick.

I don't have much choice. With arthritis, you can do repetitive motion like is required to deburr 500-1000 new brass and everything will work OK until the bone joints finally scream "Enough." Once you over-do it, there are weeks of pain and rehab to follow.

The cheapest way to motorize the deburr process is to chuck the tool in a drill. There are even adapters available to make that fat double ended chamfer tool work in a drill.

The motorized cutters work great and all you do is hold the case over the rotating tool. Gravy!

Loaded 80 rnds of .45 ACP 230 gr fmj over 6.5 gr CFE Pistol and cci 300.

Also loaded 60 rnds of .223, 40 gr Hornady BT over 26 gr win 748. Sad thing is, I don't even have an accurate .223! Only one I have is a ruger mini-14 with a shot our barrel (missing the last 1/3 of the rifling!!!)

Also rinsed and dried about 130 45 acp brass and about 220 .40 cal brass. Started pin tumbling another batch of 220 .40 cal and 50 or so mixed .308 and 30-06.

My 45 rounds are giving me sooty cases but I'm loading them at 6.2 of cfe pistol. Are your cases clean outside with the 6.5 load?

    Thanks
These were my first rounds to load with the CFE. I've been using bullseye and they were sooty.

Flash, I do the drill chuck thing with my Lee, but I use those cheap white gloves with orange rubber on the fingers. No blisters! Which is important since I have sissy accountant hands.

That Bullseye really does burn dirty. I haven't had that issue since switching to Accurate powder. I have some 2, 5, 7 and 9 that I use in various loads. Its amazing how much cleaner that powder burns.

Last night about midnight, .45 Colt black powder. 60 rounds of 200 grn RFN over 30 grns of Pyrodex P. 21 rounds of snakeshot. .451 lead round ball over about 16cc of number 8 shot over 10 grains of Pyrodex P. At 8 feet or so, the ball will penetrate a cedar fence slat but not go through and the shot paterns well enough to take a rattler out if the ball misses. My emergency snake stash if I run out of everything else.

Started reorganizing and realized I was overwhelming my cabinet shelving with the weight of the boxes of bullets, so I cut a couple 3/4" melamine coated particle board shelves to reinforce the existing sheet metal shelves. Lets hope the brackets continue to hold up ;)

Picked up 1000 primers for $20 at Cabela's. Also sold my RCBS 44 dies and bought some Lee 44 dies to use on my progressive press. Also picked up a new set of Lee 223 dies. Now I just need more brass and bullets....

Loading up another 100 rnds of .223. Sad thing is, I don't have anything to fire it from! I'm telling you, reloading is a sickness!! Anybody have a good line on a .223/5.56 bolt action?
