Did some testing with RL16 this afternoon and got some impressive results. Know keep in mind this obviously isn't my primary node given the sd but the temp stability is still noticeable. The bottom number on the red thing is ammo temp followed by the corresponding series on the magneto.

Loaded up 60 rounds of .375 Socom for rifle tests this weekend. We're using an entirely different line of copper bullets, this round. The silencer is on board, so operation with and without the can is our target.

Began to clean up all the various ziplock bags of 556 brass cluttering up the floor of my reloading shed.

It's fun and isn't boring because it seems each bag has brass at a different stage of prep: deprime, size, de crimp the mil crimp. Always moving.

Anyway, my range boxes(100 rd plastic boxes) are full so now I'm heading for filling the ammo cans next.

I finished off 200 rounds of .357 Mag. 100 are H110 fairly hot loads. 100 are mildish CFE pistol.

Also prepped 50 6.5 Grendel cases. I've got to get to the range and shoot a few more rounds of some different loads to settle on one.

Productive evening - but I split a half cord of wood the day before yesterday and my shoulders and arms said they'd had enough.

    Gunz are icky.
Tried like crazy to find a steel hollow base 405grn mould for the .45-70.
Want to replicate the original Gov't loading for the Trapdoor Carbine.
Unicorn teeth are more common I think.

Not today, but Friday. Went and shot the 50 rnds of 6.5x284 I loaded up Thursday. Pretty good considering a 15-25 Cross wind!

First pic is a 200 yd group. Three near the bottom were sighting it in. Zeroed at 100, required 5 clicks (1.25 MOA) at 200.

Second pic is me fooling around at 600 yds for the first time. With no idea on my muzzle velocity, my tripod was too short for my chronograph, and the wind varying at 15-25 and swirling, it was TOUGH. Also had no way of verifying my impacts if they weren't on the 24"x24" area I was working with, I couldn't exactly dial it in. 1 hit on the small target (8"x10") out of 10 rounds fired was good enough for me! Tripod has been upgraded and next time, there shouldn't be nearly as much wind. I'll also have a much bigger target area so I can get an idea where I'm impacting. Took 14.25 MOA in elevation to get close at 600 and 3.5 MOA of windage.

Sat down Friday night and reloaded all 50 rounds varying the charges and powders. 10 rounds of each:

    48 gr 4350
    47.5 gr 4350
    48.5 gr 4350
    53 gr H4831sc
    52 gr H4831sc

    Out of each 10,

5 were 140 gr Hornady SST
5 were 140 gr Berger Hybrid Target

    All seated to 3.104 OAL

Once I narrow down the bullet/powder combo the gun likes, I plan on tweaking it even more.

I have a little project Savage 10 in 223 (will get around to a write up soon). First round of load development awarded me this 5 shot group at 100 yards.

I may try to tighten it up a bit later but because of a scheduled long range shoot I went ahead and loaded up 100 more just like that.
