The wife got tired of me occupying the bathroom and commondering her hair dryer with beer to dry my brass so I found alternative solution.

A buddy of mine built some baskets out of wire mesh and that's exactly how he dries his brass!

This really makes me laugh for a rather atypical reason.

When my wife is in a big hurry to get her hair dry.......

....she goes outside and shakes her head over the AC compressor unit fan.
    Super duper hair drier!!!!

Got a set of dies for my 6.5 Grendel. Sized and de-primed 50 once-fired Hornady cases. They are in the ultrasonic now and probably won't be dry until tomorrow. The thought of making match quality rounds for about 1/3 the cost of factory ammo makes me a bit giddy.

Also did a bunch of FC 223. Once fired and the case length is shorter then 1.750. The minimum case length for the powder.

Ill see where it sits on the bullet cannelure with the right OAL. Load it 21.5, up to 23.

Be sure and let us know what you find out. You testing a new load with the new primers or just seeing how they compare with your standard load?
Proven load with new primers. Old load had a standard deviation of 9fps so it is pretty solid.

    I hate walnut. Too dusty.

I usually run corn cob with minimal brass polish added overnight. They come out like new.
Ive tried both and while both get the job done, I went to SS pins, Dawn and lemishine. Deprime, tumble for anywhere from 2 hrs to overnight, rinse, dry in the oven for a few mins, on the AC condenser or just air dry, and the brass is clean including the interior, primer pocket, and flash hole. never could get those with corn cob or walnut, and they both ended up wedged in the primer pocket and had to be manually cleared before priming. Also saves wear and tear on dies due to the brass being clean before sizing. ymmv

I'm really curious to know the difference also! I've always wondered if primers really made that much of a difference in POI.

I can tell you that 9 fps wouldn't make a hill of beans the way I shoot! heck, I probably couldn't tell a difference if they varied 30-50 fps!

I've seen a difference of almost 100fps in the past. I've not personally seen it change es or sd in my loads but some have. I'll post the numbers when I get to test them out.
