Today I sent in my retirement paperwork.

The Moonpie has had enough.
TBH I am a little scared. At the same time I am both glad and sad.
First time in almost 50yrs I will be without a job.
So now maybe I’ll have time to hit the range more? I dunno yet.
Last day will be Oct31.

Congratulations! About two and a half years for me. It does feel very odd to walk away from a job that is paying you, sufficiently to put up with their shit, on a regular basis. You spend 50 years worrying about the company surviving long enough to make ends meet, and save a few bucks, just to walk away. The first month or two is stranger than shit, but its all good. GOOD LUCK!

Here's a picture of our current deck rail. That's the whole thing from bottom rail to top rail and balusters. It's coming up on seven years old and the work to spruce it up will be nearly as much to replace it, so I'm going to replace the rail on all three sides this weekend while Momma's at...
