Make sure she does her physical therapy! I had my right hip replaced and the therapy was the main thing that helped me recover fully. I was 60 when I had mine done and it was the best decision I made in years! Good luck. She’s doing really well now. First week was rough, but according to her less painful. More about activating muscles not used in a whole.
Still rough but promising from a future standpoint.

6Jury duty for tomorrow now canceled. What do to with my free day.
1 mow at the ranch, all day activity
2 start my 308 rifle stock refinish / replace my sig 365 xl frame to a macro frame
3 gun range time
4 Organize gun and ammo closet
5. Wash truck and Kawasaki Mule, truck needs inspection and regristation due.
6. Screw it, go pig hunt then dove hunt.

But if they used Glock mags you could have twice as much fun.
Be cautions about the "doing something extra." A good PT plan will balance work with necessary time for recovery and rebuilding. She doesn't want to rush it, especially early on in the process. More is not always better. Just sayin'. I haven't had a hip replacement, but I've been there and done it wrong for different stuff...Had her first session the day after surgery. Since then its 3 times a week. She's taking it very serious. Even doing some extra. She wants to hike in the mountains next summer.
