Thought about you as I was getting out of the shower. That kind of fall can be fatal. Hip and femur is serious stuff. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

If your hip doesn't heal right, does this mean you have to get rid of the 1911 and
git ya a Glock? You do know that the Glock isn't as heave and easier to tote than
    a 1911. :argue:  :roflfunny:

    Just kidding.

No fair peeking at the answer.

It was I. I tripped and fell in the hallway whe attempting to go take a shower for a party. Naturally I landed where I couldn't crawl any where like to my phone which was 15 feet away. The wife (you may have a wife but I've got the wife) was in her shower so 911 couldn't be called for about an hour. I donwant to say the wife moves slow but it takes her an hour and a half to watch 60 minutes.

The whambulance showed up at 5 ish and I fell at 3:30 ish. You know somethings wrong when the EMTs know your name a knickname.

So it's 7:30 am and waiting on the quacks to come see me and plan for surgery. I've been living on morphine and Norco for pain. Awake all night counting flowers on the wall an solitaire till dawn.

I almost forgot, the EMTs had me on fentynal at first.
    Ouch!!!

Heal up right, follow through with any rehab.

Hope it heals well and fast.

Best wishes for good recovery and rehab !! I have balance issues from neuropathy so use a cane. My biggest fear is falling in the shower despite rubber mat and wearing Crocs. I got the "Life Alert" thing to wear around my neck 24/7 several years ago and have used it twice with heart attacks. A lifesaver, they answer immediately and can see your GPS. I encourage folks to consider it.

Again, best wishes and try not to curse too much during rehab.....

Adding my prayers to the rest of them.... we are all getting to the point where falling down is not nearly as trivial as it used to be... heck, even kneeling down and trying to get back up is a "process".... and a painful one, at that...

    Get better, heal quickly....
