I never understand the arrogance or scientists.

    This is medicine.
    This is science.
Imperfect but the best we have.

I'm sure some of you will dispute the "science" of the VA study released today that seems to indicate that hydroxychloroquine, a drug prematurely and inapropriately touted as a COVID treatment, caused more deaths that it prevented.

    Here:
    The VA study.

I don't think that is true. Unneeded hyperbole.

It just pointed out that a few people died of a flu-like illness for which there was no test.

Don't fault docs who fail to immediately diagnose a disease that has never been seen on our continent that pretty effectively mimics a disease that is seen quite often.
    You can't be serious????
So, you are saying it was here but not recognized so it wasn't officially here or it was here and doesn't count because it wasn't or.......
Just what are you trying to say?????
If it was here, recognized or not or killing or not, for months longer than we tought, then all the models are complete shit. And so are the death rates if it was here whether it was killing or not.
Do you really think people are that stupid??????

There are already questions being raised as to the validity of the results and results not reported.
Age groups, comorbidity, progression of symptoms at the medications were given......it goes on.
Everything I have read, the sooner it is diagnosed and treatment starts the better it does. Or has waiting for imminent death before treatment become the norm now?

Is it against TGT rules to call a troll a lying piece of shit?

    Maybe, maybe not.

HKShooter, I call bullshit on you. You say you are in medical industry, well prove it! Put up, or shut you're lying mouth.

So exactly what is your job and job title?
Where are you getting your information from, and whom?

If you can't answer these simple and direct questions with simple and direct answers, then you're a lying power, and a troll, and everyone's thoughts about you will be confirmed.

Again, put up or shut up.

    Here
Here is a PM that I received from our resident medical professional:

    "I'm a physician.
    Hence my passion.

    Surgical specialty.
Treating patients daily that might transmit to me COVID.

    Why so hostile?

Internet board annonymity foments such social behavior that would never be displayed over a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

I have an epidemiology background, a bit anyway, as an undergrad.

This whole COVID experience is testing the mettle of our best.

If you or a loved one see a doc in a central TX ER with a 2A pin on his lab coat it just might be me. Bugs my liberal partners.

    Good evening."
