If someone can rick roll an entire city with drones, then surely they can fly them for security! It does not matter. You stage multiple drones to do overlapping rotations in the air.

Like a lot of replays in this thread.I'm at a crowded Toasted Yolk for breakfast.
It's amazing how every man at every table around me is an expert on guns, sniping, and personal protection detail protocols.
Biden just said something about resolving our differences at the battle box? And he said MAGA? What?
Huh? I can't stomach watching the worthless POS. Are you saying he was on camera saying those things?

He wouldn't have needed to ask to shoot a guy with a rifle, on a roof, pointing the rifle at local police, with a line-of-sight on the President...IDK if this is officially confirmed but this was sent to me several times .View attachment 461726
Enough to guard one of the more obvious places to shoot Trump. How much manpower do you want? The circumference of a circle with a radius of 150m is a little over 1/2mi….~2800 linear ft. Putting one man ever 6 feet is 472 people just for the exterior cordon.
For an event like that, it would make more sense to use tethered drones so there's no worry about the battery life.Really depends on the drone. Batteries get heavy fast so adding a bigger battery doesn’t necessarily increase flight time. Most quadcopter style drones have a battery life of 20-30 minutes. Bigger cameras mean more weight, so that works against battery life as well. And eventually you need 6-8 blades which is what is often used for drone footage in high end documentaries carrying 8K cameras. Those might only make it 15 minutes or so from lift off to landing. But it really depends on how the available weight is split between battery capacity and camera. Weather plays a big role too. Battery goes faster if the drone is constantly fighting a 15mph wind.
Then there are drones designed more for loitering, think Reapers and other military drones. Can be electric or gas. But when people mention “drone” I figure they probably mean the multirotor electric variants ala DJI.
They are wearing a Secret Service patch/uniform...Sum Dude on another forum suggested that the counter sniper officers were local LEO, not SS. They might have assumed the shooter was legit from another agency. I hadn't thought of that as a possibility. It would explain why they didn't want to open fire until they knew for sure.

It's basically a normal drone attached to an extension/data cord. Are you talking about something like a miniature blimp?
