Ammo panic: anyone selling off some?

Went to Academy today while running a couple of other errands. Ammo is restricted to 3 units per person. I am actually ok with this. They had plenty on the shelf, and if it keeps Cheaper than dogdick from raping a few people then bravo.
I bought two 500 round boxes of Winchester steel cased 9mm. $173ish. Will be the second batch I shoot over the next month after I finish of the Wolf steel cased stuff I have

They learned it from Cheaper than Dirt. Everyone says "F Them" and then they keep buying from them.

Funny enough, we had 1000rds of 9mm for $189.99 for the last two weeks. Didn't sell that fast. Ended the sale. This week the 9mm is $14.99/box for FMJ and people don't even check the price! I saw CTD is $669 for 1000ct. I guess I'm an idiot. It doesn't matter that we always have good prices and don't gouge or whatever you want to call it, everyone goes to Academy first. I don't get it.

We actually have everything in stock right now and I'm told I'll get another case of 9mm and case of 556 next week from my distributor. I'm even giving away a roll of toilet paper if you buy a Sig P365, 12rd mag, and a box of 9mm Vcrown.

We didn't change a single price higher when this crazy stuff started happening. We did limit to 2 boxes of 9mm and 5 boxes of 223. Still have 10mm, 357, 38, 45, 45LC, 308, most rifle cartridges...30-40Krag, 7x57, 303, 338LM, 220 Swift...

Sports South, a major distributor, has 272 SKUs of 9mm listed. ZERO in stock.

This is so nuts. I've laughed so much about it that my cheeks hurt. In fact, I'm drinking my Corona right now. Spent the weekend making Corona memes and TP pics.

I'll be in touch about reloading supplies. Need to get setup for 38/357.

You have no idea how hard it was for me to pass on that. But I sold my AK and one of my SKS rifles. Only have one left, and 1500 rds for it. Sadly I never shoot it anymore.

Fair price that ammo, its good stuff. Ive shot a crap ton of that stuff.

Went by there yesterday. I bought a box of 22 mag and 2 boxes of 224 Valkyrie.

I didn't see any bulk type boxes of any ammo.

Nice thing about Academy, they get ammo daily. There will be some locations that neckbeards will flock to, but I don’t see a lot of ammo on the secondary market right now that is moving at neckbeard prices.
I think the folks that are buying out the shelves are actually keeping it. That is actually a good thing

Fairfield is a great area ... I looked at a dozen or so properties there before landing in Whitney.
Property is pretty depressed in that area since the mine and plant closed. Definitely a buyers market there.
