Yeah. Um, if you're a lane splitter and you decide to pop back into the center of the lane when traffic starts moving....here's a little word of advice: don't do it in front of the Sage green 2012 Ram 1500 with the pissed off grey-haired old fart behind the wheel. Um-kay? You DO know us old guys sometimes get the accelerator and brake mixed up, especially when we're startled?

I'd be pissed off too if I was driving a Dodge.

I love all these people talking smack about bikes, yet I bet they dont owned one. Things that kill bikers is other drivers. I really dont give a crap if you get pissed off by the way I drive my bike. If I have done things right, You wont be anywhere around me. You may not realize this, but people drive in packs usually with a lot of clear areas in front of the pack. I am going to get into that clear area and if that means going 90 MPH to get there, so be it. Funerals are more expensive than tickets. I wont lane split, but I have no problem going to the front line at red lights if that were legal because it would save me the hassle of blasting around you at 90 to accomplish the same thing.

Only car faster then my busa was the 1500hp lambo I rode in, fur lots of fast cars, that's ? 1-2% nearly capable of bike speeds, that leaves ? 98% slow cars, let alone slow cars w slow drivers.

It's amazing how many cars I pass on the frwy w my top speed of 60mph on my grom

And many people will appreciate all your organs when you donate them, after that final wreck.

Not really, I'm getting out of drivers way and getting of the road quicker, 1 less vehicle on the road

if I'm "endangering" myself that's on me.

You do realize LS is the way of life in the rest of the WORLD

I ride my slow bike as fast as I can, I control my traffic situation. But that's me and what I advised my former students.

In the words of the immortal bard: BLEEP the rest of the world. This is Texas.

Cutting in line is a douche move regardless of the law.

    Owning a bike is irrelevant.

so risking my life riding next to a young girl texting in one hand and putting on makeup with the other is a more noble thing to do? Yea right....

i dont cut in line, but I would if it were legal. My wife and family really dont care what you think.

When your riding at 20mph and cars are going 10 , if you wear a helmet chances of getting dead are pretty slim.

    We're not talking 40/50/60

    That's not splitting

Pretty sure CA law is written like 15 over moving traffic

    You're an idiot.

A woman stepped in front of my Dad in the pit before a race. He was going less than 15 miles and hour and broke his collarbone in three places.

Are you even talking about the same thing as we are?

I don't lane split, and I don't ride like an idgit swerving in and out of traffic, and have no trouble staying away from packs or getting distance between myself and a driver I don't want to be around.

Keep in mind, you don't have to speed up to get away from someone or a pack.

Ah, I see where the confusion came from.

I wasn't completely clear on the meaning if his post, but scofflaw was pretty easy to figure out.

Was just saying that when youngsters see a parent routinely and intentionally ignore the little laws and rules, like traffic laws, etc, they will follow eventually follow suit, increasing further with each generation.

An increasing lack of integrity and ethical behavior is quite noticeable in the schools today, and has been well documented to have increased with respect to generation.

There is quite a bit of difference between dead, & a broken collarbone, just sayin....

ETA: I broke each of my collarbones in different bike wrecks.

And if some gray haired old biker just happens to let an inch and a half ball bearing fall out of his pocket dont be too suprized when you see it pass through both windows. You know us old bikers have a hard time keeping ahold of thier balls.

Um I did say dead right?

Now granted he's on a racetrack/pit lane not expecting a ped, but if you can't stop quickly from 15 and not crash......maybe he's real good at high speeds riding, dunno

So are you saying you don't break laws?
