Oh, you're still good. Double barrel is for going out on your balcony and firing both barrels in the air to scare off an enemy. Single shot is for shooting blindly through a door in hopes of hitting an enemy and not, say, a child coming to tell you they can't sleep, or your wife coming in from getting a late night snack.

Why do socialists here strive to disarm us, while catering to every criminal they can find? The socialist mindset is to disarm the populace so the government will have nothing to fear, while promising the overreaching hand of government will somehow protect the citizens. Israel's government is awash in socialists, and they control the courts - which have grabbed power over the last couple of decades to the point the entire government answers to unelected judges. This allowed the leftist dream of civilian disarmament to play out in one of the most nonsensical places in the world for it to happen.

Instead of asking "why", we should look at it as a warning to us.

I've gone from carrying an LCP on the sabbath and Holy days - and nothing most of the time - to a G19 any time I leave the house, and almost every other Jew I know is doing the same. Jews in Houston - a sizeable population - are outnumbered something like 4:1 by arab muslims that are largely unfriendly.

I'm having to stay with my EDC (P365, gotta try to not advertise too much, having to deal with customers, BUT I do need to load up and carry at least a second mag). Are you noticing, if it hasn't already shifted, of the Houston Jewish population, a shift to more of a conservative mindset?

Yes; some of my Jewish Friends in Houston do carry and one is a NRA Benefactor.

Sadly, one originally from NYC, has his CL but rarely carries.
