Not only telling them not to follow the law, but telling them that the Pentagon will cover their legal fees as long as they don't follow the law (to keep thousands of workers from being informed of pending layoff just before the election).

Chicago style politics at its finest.

A vote for Obama is a vote for Romney and vise vursa. They are the same, that's what they wanted to do. Give you no option but to choose Goldman Sacs as President. Good luck with your evil picks.

No, but a vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Obama. Our concern must be to defeat the Democrats.

I'm a big Ron Paul and 3rd party proponent. I think the time to make them viable is in the primaries though. If you're waiting to the general election to promote a 3rd party you're not going to accomplish much.

This whole "throwing away a vote" is nonsense from all sides though. The only wasted vote is the one that doesn't make it on a ballot.

Everyone has a conscience, and everyone has to do what they believe is right. Telling people that a vote for Romney is a vote for Obama, or a vote for Gary Johnson is a vote for Obama is equally idiotic. That's like telling someone who to marry or what religion to believe in.

I wish everyone would quit trying to shove their decisions down other peoples' throats. Its called Freedom. Deal with it.

Well if it wasent for Ron Paul I would not have been voting at all.

    Romney & Obama are clones.

They both support more gun regulations, Look at the voting records,
They both support the NDAA, If you support anyone that supports the NDAA you are ANTI American.
They both are backed and FUNDED by the same banks and corporations that are taking our job/money and sending it over seas.
They both want more war and that equals more higher taxes and more spending.
They both support Abortion, look at the voting record.
They both support more Government rules and Regulations like HR347, NDAA, QE3 and others.
They both support the war on drugs
    They both are bailout whores.
Romney wrote the blueprint for Obama care and wants to replace it and not with free market ideas with more government ideas.

I look at the track record, not what comes out of the mouth before they need a vote.

If you think you are getting anything different when voting Romney or voting Obama you have been fooled yet again.

If you think that a vote for Mittens is a vote for Barry, you not in touch with reality, IMO. I'm a realist. I realize that another four years of of progressives can lead to stacking of the supreme court. Also, the progressives threaten to retake congress. If you thought the last four was bad with nobamma care and the like, just wait to see what the next four years is like with respect to eroding your civil liberties.

And besides, this thread was effen dead. why'd y'all have to go and resurrect this floater !?!?!? :deadhorse:

I agree that neither is where I would want us to be, but let's be realistic. IF Ron Paul won the Presidency, and every House and Senate seat was magically filled with Libertarians we would still be screwed. You're not going to reverses a century's worth of heading in the wrong direction in one election. That's how I'm framing my personal decision.

Most people do not understand true root cause and effect. They only understand what they see at face value. 99% of the people that spout off about debt numbers, etc. don't even know what they're talking about. They're parroting something they heard elsewhere- this includes some Libertarians I've talked to.

It's going to take a Depression for people to smarten up, and guess what, that's probably what we're going to get. Let the Dems and Reps be the problem, and let Libertarians be the solution after everyone sees the situation for what it really is. You can't force an addict to stop, it has to be their decision - and they usually can't clearly see the problem until they've hit absolute rock bottom....I think I may have just talked myself into voting for Obama J/K

Romney will be better than Obama on several key issues. Ideal no. Better yes.

Please tell me where Romney is better? Nobody can seem to mention anything. Ever,

Republicans run on he is a business man and he is not Obama. Other then that. Nothing good. Look at the track record not what comes out of the mouth right before election.

IMO electing the lesser of 2 evils is not smart.....it's still evil .

We all know Ron Paul isn't going to win, so why don't you just not vote, then you can blame everybody else for everything that goes wrong. Pretty much what you will be doing anyways.

You sound like a liberal, like an Obama supporter who is now embarrassed to support Obama but still to stubborn to support any republican candidate so you decided to jump on the 3rd party bandwagon.

Whatever you reasoning, IMO you are coming across as childish and uninformed, unhappy with Obama an sucking in everything you hear on MSNBC

Look, I think its Socialist vs Socialist Lite. But they're not completely the same.

I'm not telling you to vote for Romney. I'm saying that if you want to have an impact on people's opinions your "in your face" method is going to be as effective on Conservatives as it is when they tell you your "vote is wasted."

I really wanted RP to win, and contributed what I could to help him in the primaries. Its not going to happen this time.

I'm going to vote Romney, but have also focused on Libertarians and libertarian Republicans running locally and for Congress for the election (e.g. Ted Cruz).

Of course it is smart, when those are your choices. I voted for Paul in the primary but Hippie is correct that it is going to take a disaster to pull America's head out of the sand, and that means right now a radical candidate has no chance. Romney is a better choice than Obama.

I don't give two shits who you voted for that's your decision and your right. The fact alone that you voted and have a political view shows some merit on your part. I am curious though as to why you voted for R.P. knowing he has no chance to get elected?

If you don't know by now, your ears are full of crap. I'm not going to waste my breath.

How about this food for thought. While Governor of Massachusetts. He declined a governor's salary of $135,000 during his term.[SUP][186][/SUP] Upon entering office in the middle of a fiscal year, he faced an immediate $650 million shortfall and a projected $3 billion deficit for the next year.[SUP][172][/SUP] Unexpected revenue of $1.0–1.3 billion from a previously enacted capital gains tax increase and $500 million in new federal grants decreased the deficit to $1.2–1.5 billion.[SUP][187][/SUP][SUP][188][/SUP] Through a combination of spending cuts, increased fees, and removal of corporate tax loopholes,[SUP][187][/SUP] the state achieved surpluses of around $600–700 million during Romney's last two full fiscal years in office, although it began running deficits again after that.[SUP][nb 13] He Declined the salary (worked for free) which also made him UNQUALIFIED or all future golden government retirement parachutes. Wow many Barry's you know work for free?

Or how bout this. He's against the estate tax. It's one thing to pay tax on income, pay tax on purchases, pay inventory tax on yearly inventory (small business), etc etc but then to tax a parting gift to a relative !! In Barry's progressive world, it's not enough to tax the wealthiest 80%, 90% while those who contribute nothing to society get free phones !!

Wake up man and smell the obama bs !!
