Just thought I'd light a fire under everyone's ass this holiday weekend. I'm tired of the talking heads and everyones biased bullshit explanations of what people are "gonna do" and how this or that "hurts or helps" the middle class. I'd give Ron Paul my vote in a heartbeat but Romney just turns me away from the Republican party altogether. No president has ever accomplished much in 4 years but I'm not gonna give Romney even 1 term to find out. It may not be much but at least I can still cast one vote and it won't be for Romney. Good job by conservatives to destroy their chance at winning by snubbing Ron Paul. I look forward to some name-calling and more bullshit reasons why Obama is worse, bla, bla, blah. It's good to be alive in Texas - Yee Haw!

It's somewhat delusional to believe Ron Paul ever had a snowball's chance in hell of seeing a nomination for anything. I seriously would love to have some of whatever is in that Ron Paul Kool-Aid.

    HOWEVER.

It was pretty shitty of them to snub RP.

I don't like any of them.

reshaping the supreme court is what Obummer will do - and that will have a much greater long lasting effect on you and your family than 4 years of Obama

I don't like either, but I still don't understand your logic. It would make more sense to just not vote in your situation.

I would at least figure for someone who is a part of a firearms-related forum to at least use that as a reason to vote Republican. Do whatever you want, it's your choice obviously. However, if these weapons regulations start popping up if he is re-elected, you better not have your ass on here complaining about that.

.... SCOTUS revamping is my biggest concern in the upcoming election. Everybody screams "they're coming after our guns" but the reality is that a liberal appointment or two can screw us for the next few decades.

These two go hand in hand, along with many other things.

I would love to have Ron Paul in the white house. Much rather have too many rights than not enough.

That said, I know a vote for him at this point is a wasted vote and I'm not gonna vote FOR Romney, but you can bet your ass I'm voting AGAINST Obama.

Just not a fan of socialism, supporting the lazy, or methodical repeal of the 2nd amendment, or the 1st, or any others. Or being told what I MUST buy by the government. Or that only white people can commit hate crimes. Or that I owe everyone else for my success. Or that voting is a right that shouldn't be reserved for American citizens.

I'd continue but I've reached my daily limit for grammatical errors.

    Yep.

It's not about what Obama has failed to accomplish. It's about what he has accomplished.

He has run illegal operations like Fast and Furious, not to further enforcement of laws, but to provide fuel to push an ideology.

He has made the case that American citizens can be killed without due process, just so long as they're overseas. And he's followed through on that by committing first degree murder.

His lackeys have also made the case that the US itself is a "battlefield" in the GWOT, and therefore that Americans can be killed here without due process. He has done nothing to correct them, and they're still employed.

He's played cronyism to the worst degree, having taxpayer money sent to donors so that their "green" corporations could fail while they pocket the money (and no doubt donate to his campaign again).

Some of his donors (that he's protecting) are companies like Goldmann-Sachs, who look for bailouts for their screwups.

    Reauthorized the PATRIOT Act twice.

Obamacare. If you don't know what's wrong with this, move to California. I'd be happy to chip in money toward the moving truck. And before you start up with "well, it's not as bad as people make it out to be", I read the goddamn thing when it was passed. None of the people who defend it have. It is that bad and worse.

His hostility to small business - "you didn't build that." Like he'd know what it takes to build anything. He's a destroyer, not a builder.

His offensive statement about how AKs belong in the hands of soldiers. When I heard him say that, the image that sprang to mind was Chinese paramilitary executing prisoners with their AKs, because that's what happens when you disarm the population.

He's a true believer in the anti gun agenda. Apologists are wrong when they claim otherwise. You don't sit on the board of the Joyce Foundation unless you are hard core anti gun.

I could go on and on about the misdeeds, about how his actions have damaged and not helped our economy or our international standing, about how truly bad Obama is as a human being, never mind as a president. But I don't feel up to it. If you want to bury your head in the sand, that's your choice. It's not up to me to get out a shovel and save you from yourself.

However, I'd like to ask you to stay home and just not vote on election day. It's not my job to save you, but I'd really appreciate it if you didn't try to harm me.

But, but, but, but, they snubbed Ron Paul at the RNC!!!

OP is acting like a big baby. Didn't get exactly what he wanted, so he would rather have nothing.

To each their own. I just hope that whatever happens (meaning when everything goes to hell, regardless of if Obama or Romney wins), America can get past the "blame the other side" mentality we're stuck in now. Not that I'm not guilty of it, but I've decided to try cut back on that mentality. Hopefully everyone else will too.

Yeah I'm pretty upset about how they shunned Ron Paul too. God Forbid someone tries to stop the whole charade by the Federal Reserve and the other global banks they align themselves with, and restore this nation to a state of Constitutionality. We can thank the media for that, as well as the neo con Republicans. I'm still voting Republican though. I'm ready to get it over with. But I'm more afraid and uncertain (well, maybe uncertain isn't the right word...I'm CERTAIN it will suck in an unbelievable way....that I am certain of) of what will happen if Ovomit wins, than I am Romney.

Dont like any of them. But Obama's socialism, I agree, is something we can't allow to happen. Obama's Dem's have tried and retried to introduce a 1% tax on ALL, that's right kiddies, ALL electronic financial transactions (credit cards, debit cards, direct deposit). So far the bills have all failed, but what is interesting is that the Feds are requiring all IRS and financial transactions be eletronic. Soc Sec is mandated to be electronic in 2013. Coincidence?? I'm voting against Obama no matter what. He and his mob cronies are out to screw gun control and every other right we have under the constitution. **** em.

Interesting. I didn't know about that. Hell it's hard to keep up with all the BS that comes out of D.C. these days. The executive branch has entirely too much power, for one thing, and Congress needs to get its act together as well. Like the Senate not compiling a budget in 1200 days....what kinda shit is that? They're the United States government for crying out loud!

    I am not a leftist, so I won't resort to swearing at you or calling you names;
    I am not a far righter, so I won't say you will burn in hell;

I respect your opinion, and your right to cast a vote for whomever you chose.
As I have always taught my children, everything we say, think, or do in our lives has a cost to it.
Sometimes the things that make us feel good immediately have costs to them that rear up at a later date and nail us.
In only my opinion: a vote for Obama is like nailing a beautiful young girl of your dreams, and then finding out she gave you aids.
the moral of all this? If you are going to vote for Obama that is your right, but make him wear a condom when he fucks ya!
