    harlan,

Which of the following two do you ascribe to: socialism or marxism?

Or, just plain ole ordinary all around 'communism'?
If I had to categorize it, I would ascribe it to socialism. Many behaviors and policies nowadays share similarities with it. However, when it comes to Marxism or communism, I’d say the whole DE&I movement isn’t even close to those ideologies.

Or in our small company's case, it adds significantly to overhead just to create and maintain said programs and the requirements also add to manufacturing costs. Customers want a ESG-compliant product, but are unwilling to pay for or even share in the added expenses.
I have been involved in multiple CSR/ESG projects for public companies, and while they may not contribute meaningfully to the company's development, investors are keen on seeing these reports.
