Not to be out done China is currently engaged in the same strategy, albeit (currently) cold versus hot actions making overtures via communications (from what I understand?) As far as the Philippines. And aggressive behavior in Japanese territory.
Unless they've had a change in politics, that's quite a bit of socialist territory.

China can't mount an invasion of Taiwan, we have years before China could, if interested mount an invasion there, and even if they could, China economically China needs international sales to stay open. They cannot afford a war with the USA

I am not sure at all that this statement can be supported.

Just wanted to note that Biden claims most of the Ukraine foreign aid money would actually be spent here in the State; almost $40B ramping up munitions and armament capabilities. That means he is paying defense contractors billions of dollars to expand? Don't we already have the capability to build this stuff? This sounds like deep-state lobbies have Biden's ear. Watch all the Congressionals move to buy stock in these companies.
We don't have adequate production capacity should we get into our own conflict.

Reports of a flight of 6-9 C17s flying relatively low over Central California in an east to west direction about 20 minutes ago? As of yet unverified as to type of aircraft, were not flying at Mach 5 with hair on fire.... but not out for a leisurely cruise and again estimated definitely below 1000 ft level???

Yes, transferring equipment is faster than the process of procurement and production, but expiration is a factor for some items, but not all. If we are surplusing equipment sooner than originally planned to send over to Ukraine, that would also still drop inventory since the replacement wouldnt be there yet and wont be presumably until to original planned date.

Can you define sooner? A month? A year? A decade? The demand for increased production isn’t exactly slight. I’m sure there is plenty that was at or near the end of its shelf life, but have you considered that it may be more of a coincidence than an actual factor in the decision to provide the equipment?

Was told they were in formation like fighters? Don't know anything else, and although report was from family member who's brother and husband both served in army she's nothing more than a one time dependent.

I recall expiry dates being a factor for a number of munitions, I'll try to find whaich ones.

It may be a coincidence, and I am not dogmatic that it can't be. Its likely also a matter of "oldest out first" and those happen to be closer to the use-by date...

Read an article about the economic needs of the POC and how they cannot afford to jeopardize their loans and income because they are so heavily relient on exports.

I'll look for it and try to post it here.

You are assuming that China cares about its citizens. There are no limits to the sacrifices its citizens will be forced to make for the good of the dictator.

And much of the world would be hurt worse if they embargoed China.

Congress members bought their stocks before they voted the foreign aid.

I am presuming their leaders are as self interested as ours our...

I feel rather informed on Ukraine, but China isn't something I am exactly "up" on.

For these past years Ukrainians have always known that Mother Russia would come knocking someday. Putin will eventually Flatten the place if he has to. No winners here.

Well, at least we got to piss away a bunch of money plundered from American taxpayers and send our children and grandchildren deeper into economic slavery.

Its not plundered when people like you bend over and spread em for the tax man each year with out so much as clenching or saying no. Do something about it, take your stand... (somewhere other than the internet lol)
