I know, but...Nah it's just a joke. Bolt action rifles are cool, in fact my favorite hog killer is a bolt action 30.06. It is a stupid accurate shooter.

Lol I’m going off price per round too. I’m torn between the noreen firearms long range assassin in 30-06 or a bolt action in 7mm rem mag.Sigs, Xd's, and now 7mm mag? I knew there was something wrong with you.
Ssssssss SsssssssLol I’m going off price per round too. I’m torn between the noreen firearms long range assassin in 30-06 or a bolt action in 7mm rem mag.
I’d love a 30-378 or a 300 rum again but those prices...
I still don’t know what my next rifle will be. If I get a 6.5 cm I’ll tell y’all how my sex change went.
They used to teach things like that in schoolOnce upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore—

@Sasquatch I'll have you know as a self-respecting Hi-Point owner, I'd never dirty my hands holding or shooting a Raven!I don't think some friendly humor about a person's choice in weaponry is going to cause division - except maybe by those who lack the sense of humor or ability to detect sarcasm / humor. Some folks might get all panty-knotted about a barb about their chosen caliber or gun - but they are few & far between.
Its the "I'm a gun owner BUT" types, or the ones who unironically support the NRA still despite the NRA having a hand in every anti-gun piece of legislation that's been passed into law since the NFA. They are why we can't have new transferable machine guns, they are why there was a bump stock ban. They don't fight - they just give away your rights a little bit at a time and call it a victory.
Its the "I'm a veteran, no one needs a weapon of war" types who are a problem.
Its the "I only shoot bolt actions and pump guns, no one needs semi autos" types who are a problem.
Its the "Only bible thumping conservatives should have guns" types who are a problem
Its the "We need universal background checks" types who are a problem
Every time I hear "I'm a gun owner BUT" I automatically assume that person either is NOT an actual gun owner, or they're 80 years old and don't understand the 2nd amendment was enshrining our ability to kill tyrants and invaders, not hunt deer or punch paper.
Its also to a lesser extent the "The AR15 is just a modern sporting rifle" types who are part of the problem. The AR 15 was designed to shoot *humans* first and foremost. Designed as a weapon of war, for reals, since it was pitched by Armalite to the US military as a replacement for the M14 it most certainly IS a weapon of war, and most certainly IS intended to kill people. And thats absolutely fine because that is what the 2A is about first and foremost.
Not being honest about the actual intent of the 2A is part of why we're in the state we're in - the gun rights orgs push the sporting aspects, the home defense aspects, and the hunting aspects of gun ownership - and they down play the notion that the 2A was actually intended to be there should we need to overthrow the government or defend against invaders. No one in the 1700s was trying to ban guns to stop hunting - if you didn't hunt for your meat, by in large, you and your family starved. It was never about hunting animals - it was about hunting tyrants.
If someone wants to give me a good natured ribbing over my choice in gun - great. I think it helps unify us more than divide us - the joking builds comraderie and a sense of community more than it drives us apart, with some few exceptions. In the end it doesn't really matter if you're a Glock fan like @Moonpie, a closet Raven collector like @Axxe55, or you own six Hello Kitty print AR9's like @Sam7sf and still have the "I <3 Oregon" sticker on your truck like he does. What you own, what you like to shoot, what calibers you like - we're all in it together and I think almost all of us know that.
Get get the OP's sentiments about needing unity - especially with Pelosi now pushing her stupid AWB hard. Lets pray that the Senate republicans can collectively find their balls and hold the line against it, and that Joe Manchin isn't bought off, or swayed into voting with his fellow democrats this time.
And they don't have a 6.5Pretty sure I’m related.

Also, i take exception to OP's claim that mocking .30sc owners is dividing us.
The only people who like .30sc are being paid to like it
What in the wild world of sports is a 30sc
A mistake. What in the wild world of sports is a 30sc
Yup. I was not tempted. 9x19 is just fine.
