And it's isn't just Fort Worth or Texas. Our country used to have the most respected education system in the world. And it wasn't all that long ago. Today? Not so much...

The IMD World Competitiveness Center reported that the U.S. ranked 12th overall among all countries in its 2024 Competitiveness Report of student educational achievement. It gets a lot worse in math...which is just a little bit important if the current and future generations are going to keep us competitive on the world stage. In math, the U.S. ranked 34th! All of the top 5 countries in math were in Asia.

But, hey! On the bright side, our schools are doing a much better job of teaching revisionist history, gender fluidity studies, CRT, DEI, and socialist ideas. Kids born in 2024 may end up mightily sucking in reading, writing, and STEM subjects, but they'll be well-equipped for government jobs and elected positions!

So the ‘jobs report’ everyone touts quarterly is based off survey data that’s extrapolated and is later revised with hard actuals.

What we’ve known for a while is the number of employers responding to the survey request has been dwindling as had the breadth of industries.

This BLS revision should make them take a hard look at the validity of the extrapolation process. We’ll see how the final numbers in 2025 look, but it’s not likely to paint a rosier picture.
