And, yep, she stepped away from the responsibilities of her office because she was feeling stress, she was feeling put-upon, she was feeling anxiety...because the activities of the office under control were being investigated for bid-rigging during COVID. She was absent from July 2023 until early that October.
Three of Hidalgo's staffers were indicted in April 2023 by the Harris County DA. Then the following November the Texas Rangers issued three additional search warrants in the ongoing investigation and opened a new public corruption investigation into Hidalgo's office. They sought to find records believed not to have been disclosed in the previous investigations.
This is how America is destroying it's own political infrastructure from the inside. This corrupt little snowflake was never qualified and should never have held the office of Harris County Judge.
