    That is customer service from the big box stores. I go to the local lumber yard. Costs a bit more but no Phuck ups
    ETA: they answer the phone and take care of any issues pronto.

    Our local lumber yard can burn to the ground for all I care. I won't go into too much details - but my wife used to work there and left because of the bullshit from an unfireable manager. If there was another local option I'd be interested, but I'm also balling on a budget getting things fixed up around the property and around the house - and the 15-20% cost savings on this project measured in hundreds of dollars over what it might've cost buying from mom & pop.

    Next time I'll probably just go rent a damned U-Haul to get stuff - cost would've been basically a wash (I did price check a U-haul for just such purpose) but figured I'd try to get other stuff done while the stuff was coming. Lesson learned there!

    I realize this doesn't help you now, after the fact, but I have a pickup and could probably borrow a flat-bed trailer. I would have gladly come and helped you out. I'm sure I'm not the only one on this forum that feels this way.
