You should learn corporate speak. Then they praise you for telling them they are full of shit. I never could do it myself. I thanks the lord I be retired hearing stuff like that
Yesterday I called them because I hadn't seen a place on their online order form to provide delivery instructions. Talked to the MOD at the Tomball store, he took down my instructions. About 10 minutes later, our order was cancelled. No reason given. A couple hours later I get an email claiming things were out of stock, but no idea what. Called the store to verify.
Placed the order again - website still shows everything in stock. This time I set delivery for today (next day, vs same day) - got text update this time about delivery being ready this AM, along with email and text yesterday.
They never updated to reflect the order being out for delivery, but whatever, I was weed eating out front when they showed up - a dude in a pickup with a flatbed, and another dude with a van - independent contract delivery people.
Lowes shorted me materials - 9 panels of corrugated roofing, and a bag of concrete. Called the store, waiting 25 minutes on old because CS forgot about me. Hung up, redialed, get bounced to a call center in India. Now waiting for "upto 24 hours" for someone from the store to call me back to let me know WTF is going on with the roofing panels - are they out, did they forget, or are they sending another truck? Just under $300 worth of materials. The paperwork provided only was a copy of what I ordered - not what was actually picked and loaded. No signature required for delivery either - weird. Contractors did have to take photos of the delivered items. I had them take pix to show I didn't get everything I ordered.
I don't have a pickup, not that a pickup would've been sufficient anyway with everything ordered - honestly I expected one of their flatbeds to be dropping shit off, not two random guys who don't even work as a team - literally two indepedent dudes that didn't know each other before getting part of my order.
As it stands, we're missing 1/4 of the value of what was ordered (about $1200 worth of stuff) - and until we get the missing materials, I cannot compelete the project.
That is customer service from the big box stores. I go to the local lumber yard. Costs a bit more but no Phuck ups
ETA: they answer the phone and take care of any issues pronto.
