A little late but ....Morning :)
I tested positive for covid on Thursday. Don't know where I was exposed. I don't go near large crowds. Anyway I have a mild case with head congestion. No fever and oxygen level is good. Just using lots of tissues. I'm on 2nd day on Ivermectin and antibiotics which means I should be all good by Tuesday or Wednesday. Putting a damper on my trips to gun range though. Glad to see some of you getting some rain.
    Prayers up...

Creek went from dry on Tuesday to out of banks this morning. I love it.

    Good for you.

I don't recall all the details but as a little kid in a station wagon, pulling a trailer thru AZ or somewhere out that way and a flash flood occurred. It may well have been worse than I was aware.

some people just happen to cook cornbread in muffin tins my granny did on occasion! i don't think it's a yankee thing at all !

Maybe the hillbillies down where Lake Travis is now didn't have muffin tins...LOL I dunno. My grandmother and mother never made them. "Cornbrad muffins" aren't a thing I was aware of till I was an adult.

Cornbread is made in cast iron. A skillet or the little corn shaped forms, again cast iron.

The only caveat is mexican corn bread with Jalapeño peppers. You can get by making it in muffin tin or sheet pan cause it's more cake like anyways.

Calling someone a Yankee may just start a blood feud.

My grandma side of the family were real hillbillies from Kentucky. They used cast iron Dutch ovens for corn bread and a griddle for corn cakes. Still cast iron.
