    Morning folks!

    Working the mid-shift today.

Oldest daughter and most likely future son-in-law are flying in tonight for the weekend.

Boiling some crawfish for them tomorrow evening. Get to use my new burner and paddle!!

Have to work Sunday from 1-5 which sucks. I might have to declare a religious holiday and see what they say.

Hope everyone has a great Good Friday and a wonderful Easter weekend!

    That's a good idea!

Strangely, I'm the most careful one there. Even the owner was upset that of all his employees this kind of freak accident happened to it was me. He has gloves but no one wears them and my hands are so small that it's hard for me to do anything with them on.

    Not surprising.

Basically any tool with a spinning bit or blade can catch on a glove and pull your hand into danger. In my cabinet shop we only wore gloves when handling material, but not when cutting/routing.

Planer accidents like yours are rare, and could be a material handling exception ... a blade proof glove might have saved you from the flesh wound on a kickback, but if you go that route get a pair that fits as snug as possible, and be careful what tool you use when wearing.
