Nice...I don't know anything about S&W 500's, and honestly this is the first time I've heard of 460's. Where to they fit in on the "power" scale as compared to 454's and 44 mags. And is a 44 more powerful (for lack of a better word) than a 454?

As I understand it...in increasing power levels.
45 Colt
44 Mag
454 Casull
460 ( 460 will chamber and fire 45 Colt and 454 Casull )
500

In guns of the same weight, the .500 Smith will produce roughly 50% more recoil than a .454 Casull of the same weight.

Porting and the heavy frame of a .500 S&W help a bunch. As far as power band the 500 is THE king right now.

The 500 came with two brakes. The extra one is about 1/2" longer. I havent tried it with the extended brake but this weekend may be a good time to find out. My new shipment of ammo has not arrived yet but I believe I have 30 or 40 rounds left of various weight. We can shoot all because I have more coming soon.
