Bought these based on the photos only. My Son's dog trainer is selling them to me........My Son will pick them up Monday. They appear to be Ottoman and original not fakes.........for the price I couldn't say no...............so if they aren't real, I won't cry......

    Hammer bite…

besides adjusting my grip on this GI 1911 A1 before I shoot… any suggestions on how to address?

Doesn’t seem right to try and put an extended beaver tail grip safety on it… plus I’d never be able to match the grey parkerized

None today but I got the new front sight for my SA35 this week(orig loose in dovetail) so, I get to try it out finally. Noticed it wasn't very accurate, found the sight was loose when I got home. The pistol has a pretty sloppy trigger, the way it is made, it'll take some getting used to. I don't think I can improve on it. It is not an improvement over the 1911. JB could have done away with the grip safety on the 1911, it would have been an improvement. Oh well, new toy.

    Gunz are icky.
Range report or is @Moonpie a slacker :)

Range report for the new TISAS Desperado:
On initial range day the gun performed about 90%.
    Accuracy was fine.
    Sights are dead on.
Trigger is a bit mushy but breaks ok.
The super shiny finish makes for difficulty seeing the sights in sunlight.
There were a number of failure to extract problems. Always about 1/2 way thru a magazine.
After trying a couple of different types of ammo and magazine brands I had pretty much determined it was an extractor issue.
Since this gun comes from the factory set up for both 9mm and 38 Super I figured the extractor would be a little loose for a 9mm. The 38 Super rim is slightly greater in diameter. It would be too loose for the 9mm case head.
Took it apart and thoroughly cleaned it.
Gathered some more different ammo types as well as several other brands of mags.
Back to the range. I hadn't but about 60-70rds thru it when the fail to extract issue became an every round FTE.
    2nd range trip over.
Back home, thoroughly cleaned again. This time, removed the extractor and tuned/bent it quite a bit. Reinstalled and tried the live round hold'em trick. Seemed to be fine.
Today it went to the range again and ran 150 flawless rounds thru it. Worked perfectly.
So, this evening I will be loading up every 9mm magazine I own and returning to the range tomorrow for the brutal Do or Die test.
I think I have about 30 mags all told. Colt, Dan Wesson, Ed Brown, Meggar, Checkmate, CYM, Tripp, McCormick, Wilson Combat, TISAS, and a couple of no-names.
Also installed a Wilson Combat 1911 buffer pad on the spring guide as well as drop of Orange Glow Paint on the front sight.

We will see how thing go.
