If I remember right. Colt authorized them to build 1911A1's and they have original tools and dies to make them.
Yes… that’s what the listing says

The D.G.F.M. (Dirección General de Fabricaciones Militares) Model 1927 is a semi-automatic pistol that stands as a testament to robust military design and historical significance. Crafted in Argentina in 1950, this specific model is a licensed clone of the iconic Colt M1911A1, made using Colt tooling. Marked "Ejercito Argentino," it was produced for the Argentine Army, ensuring its reliability and rugged performance. Featuring a parkerized finish for superior corrosion resistance, this firearm is in very good condition, with only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use. It boasts a clean, mirror-finish bore with excellent rifling, making it not just a collector's item but a highly functional weapon. Included in the sale are two 7-round magazines, enhancing its practicality for both collectors and shooting enthusiasts.

With its striking 5" barrel and steel frame complemented by checkered wood grips, this Model 1927 exudes a classic, timeless appeal. The fixed front and dovetail rear sights ensure accurate targeting, while the single-action operation guarantees consistent, precise shooting. As a numbers-matching Argentine Colt licensed clone, this pistol carries historical weight and an authentic connection to its American counterpart. Whether you are a collector of vintage military firearms or an enthusiast seeking a reliable, durable handgun with a storied past, the D.G.F.M. Model 1927 is an exceptional choice. I only bought some ammo today but I also did bid on a few guns in an auction coming to an end this weekend. There are one or two out of several guns that I really want badly and a few others on which I am also sure to bid. Placed three or four bids on a few of them today in this auction.
