why?So no restriction on retention level of the holster? That's odd. I figured they would require a level 2 or higher

They tried to bring an amendment for that but it was tabled. So no restriction on retention level of the holster? That's odd. I figured they would require a level 2 or higher
why?
Oh ok, so when they say belt holster does that include IWB?
It would only be in our best interest to include retention holsters.
1) It would coerce people to practice with them.
2) It would prevent disarmament more than a non-retention holster
#2 would lead to a very STRONG argument against OC, or any progression of it towards constitutional carry.
Could someone here give a brief overview of what has transpired so far in the Texas legislature to further Open Carry? Some of us, such as myself, have seen news bits and online postings of what has been going on. Something like what has happened and what still needs to happen for it to get signed by our Governor.
Got it i cc with my leather bbq . I don't forsee myself oc'ing but if I do i a serps lvl 3It would only be in our best interest to include retention holsters.

I'm not for giving in to the "other" crowd. Make me practice? Screw them. If I'm carrying OC I'm going to be cognizant of my carry weapon and be aware of it at all times. I want to carry the way "I" want to carry. I don't give a shit about them having a "strong" argument". Don't give an inch, damnit! It would only be in our best interest to include retention holsters.

Still trying to figure out how that would work or why you would do it (open carry IWB). I would think that would normally be concealed carry. Maybe I'm missing something.Oh ok, so when they say belt holster does that include IWB?

I understand that but why (other than it would be legal if OC passes)? Retention? more concealed than OWB? maybe more comfortable for some people? I know IWB isn't anywhere near as comfortable for meIWB with shirt tucked in = open carry
