They were NOT found of each other for sure. Tesla worked for Edison initially.
The ironic part of a Tesla is it runs on DC, and that's what Edison was pushing for against Tesla's AC.

Teslas run on AC, the controller converts battery voltage into a higher AC voltage. The drive motors are all AC.

I’ve been in Florida for more than ten years.
I can now refer to myself as a Cracker, just not as a native Cracker, which is also referred to as Flogrown.

Well, Edison was pushing for DC for power transmission along power lines, and it was not suited to it - AC is. DC is good for battery power.

But it is interesting that Edison Co. continued to supply DC power to elevator services in NYC into the 90s.
