From the You Cant Make This Up If You Tried dept.

USSS director Cheatle says they could not put snipers on roof shooter fired from due to the slope of roof. So they were inside while he was up top shooting. Cue the Benny HIll Music.

I think that her observation was disproven rather quickly....

    SAME TRIBE?

Remember that my father (a union man) when I turned 18 told me register dem vote republican....I of course registered republican simply to piss off my mother and my girlfriends mother..... however why wouldn't a looney Marxist register republican simply as cover.

Should be obvious however I infact am a constitutionalst.

Do we know EXACTLY what type of rifle was used?
The articles keep saying "AR-style rifle", but that can be anything nowadays.

Those first shots sounded like a .22 lr or .22 short IMO.
They did not sound like 556 or .223 to me. The "report/gunfire" was too soft like a pea shooter.
Last I checked, subsonic .223 rounds don't cycle too well in AR's.

Also, the guy had a receipt for 50 rounds of "ammunition".
They never mention the caliber, and last I checked most .223 or 556 come in bundles of 20.

Have they officially posted what was used?

In this thread (somewhere) a Ruger AR556 has been mentioned. The shots where 100 yards or more away from the cameras, so the muffled sound is because of the distance.

    AR 15 for certain.

If the 50 round box is correct that narrows it way way down.

    Aguila
    AE
    Federal
    Fiocchi
    Freedom M.
    Frontier
    Hornady
    HSM
    Lax
    Magtech
    Remington

All sell 223 and 556 in 50 round boxes. Currently in the archive we have 50gr, 55gr, and 62 grain and a couple others in 50 round count boxes.
