Not a big fan of cars but if I had to pick one it would be this....

I will build and own one of these some day.... Local Motors Rally Fighter

I'd rather have one of these than a Ferrari or an old muscle car...

Also really like the first gen Firebirds.

Hell to the yes. I'm a Ford guy, but those Firebirds were sexy. A buddy in high school had one like this with a bored 400, a serious cam, and plenty of carb to feed it. It didn't matter much in the day when gas was sub 50 cents a gallon.

Ahh! I see, said the blind man as he fell in the ditch, why you were so disappointed in my 73 cuda. ;)

BTW, a Lamborghini, similar to the one in BC's post above, passes (idles by, is more appropriate) me almost every morning as I walk the pup. Obviously the guy's "work vehicle". Nice work if you can get it. It too puuuuurrs.

    WINNER!!!

I should be publicly flogged for not starting off with an AC Cobra :banghead:

There's a TX Cobra club that meets every spring here in San Marcos. Every time there here I walk around the parking lot and drool. Most are reproductions, but there's one guy, who I'm aware of, who has an original 429 side oiler. Can't imagine how many $100,000's that's worth.

The only thing I loved about the POS 4-door green-and-rust Pontiac I got when I first entered the working world was that small-block 400. I don't know if the engine was particularly sweet or if it was just the contrast with the rest of the car but I loved it.

Can't believe anybody hasn't put this up yet:
No use having something if I can't wedge my posterior into it.

Hey, somebody wanna encourage me to lose weight? Gimme one of these and I guarantee I'll do whatever it takes to make my butt slim enough to sit in it. :)

Friend of a friend had one, back in the day (relating the memory to my job history, I know it was before 1982.) Only folks from Houston will understand this reference - It may not have been smart but it sure was fun to hit 100 between the lights on Hillcroft, just south of the SW Freeway.

Was the GSX owner in the Neal family? My GFs brother had a pale (faded?) green one about that time. From Bellfort we turned N. on the 59 feeder. He didn't punch it but steadily applied more go foot. I still remember the seat slowly enveloping me (and Margaret ;)).

That stretch of Hillcroft certainly is not the best for those speeds ... lol. We used to pile into a HS buddies Toyota wagon and from Braeswood head S. on Chimney Rock, in the RH lane, @ 60mph. Surprisingly, the suspension made good landing gear. :shades:

ETA: Looking back, 60mph would have broke something during the takeoff.

    If you don't recognize it, a 66 Galaxie 500 7 Litre
    427 side oiler ...

A neighbor had one and I just remember it making my cheeks flap and hair stand straight back.

    Duster or Demon?

Friend had a Duster with a 360 and his dad had a 340 Cuda. They drag raced them on the track frequently.

This may be the absolute coolest car ever assembled. Only one was made.

Sadly, the super charger was only eye candy. Although some copies have been made with functional superchargers.
