Boy, usually I'm a real supporter of cops on the street but this one made me wince. It's going to be a tough sell to justify this shooting. The fact that he was in a group home for problem individuals, should have told the officer that firearms would not be allowed on site. There's NO winner on this one.

For a guy who has allegedly done this job, you seem to forget that it is TCLEOSE, not "teclose." Also, "mandated mentally ill instruction?" If you're referring to Crisis Intervention Training or Mental Health Officer, they teach skills and options, not a set procedure. Also for a guy who has obviously beefed up his right arm playing Monday morning quarterback, you also forget that striking someone in the head with a chair can be considered deadly force? Guy is going crazy, you expect him to be like "geez officer, since you say you're gonna hit me in the head, I'll stop." Lol, wake up. This officer standing back, sees his fellow officer be approached by a subject swinging an unknown object which is making a fully equipped officer back up, what would you think he's swinging. Maybe he saw something shine which to him resembled a knife, hell, maybe his partner thought he had one too. I don't know what department you allegedly worked for, but Damn that's cold to automatically oust an officer without knowing details yourself. I have seen a man in a wheel chair stab someone who was then shot. People, like yourself, underestimate them obviously.
Thanks for the spell check. As for the departments I have worked for. Guess. As for the level of training, Guess. As for thinking this officer was a complete dumbass for shooting a pen swinging, invalid in a wheelchair....don't guess.
Funny how it's cold to say a thing about some fool wearing a badge. But cozy and warm to "oust" a guy in a wheelchair. Dead guy with a bullet in his head.
This fear and paranoia among law enforcement, as in every person they come across is willing and able to kill them. It's pull the gun, worry about proper law enforcement later. The words, "I felt for my life so I shot to stop the threat"......covers it all. Bad tactics to sorry police work.
Ive seen behind the curtain of the blue line. Ive seen people go to jail just for, "P.O.P.O". Screen test? Oh yeah. Expanded metal right in the face. The late night slumbers in the local grave yard. 6 deputies beat a man half to death. The road closed to a nearby domestic disturbance by the Sheriff's dept. Why? Cause the county commissioner was beating the hell out of his girlfriend. Sargents that thought it funny to DWI. Taking your DL photo in uniform so the rest knows your on their "side". Detective of 15years caught with child porn. Dead people making bail so the state wouldn't know. And thats the nice stuff Ive seen. None of it can be proven. Not a single thing. Badges ain't see through. So the things that hide behind it stay hidden.
Some things never make the news. And it always fun to see cops find out that one of their own......Throws the dirty laundry out for the rest of the world to see. My badge hangs in a frame on the wall. My stomach and respect for my fellow man will make sure I never wear that bean can lid again.
Well, if you failed to report an act of unethical activity, then you failed in the same capacity. I won't hesitate to report it....Why? That "blue line" won't visit me in jail, feed my family, or pay their bills. This is real life, not the movies. This isn't 1950. The good 'ol boy system is fading and people need to start stepping up and changing it. That's what I've been doing in my career and my commitment to what I've loved doing....
Those things should have made the news.
To whom? The Temple daily telegram? They are gonna print something bad about the most powerful law enforcement officer in the county? Or even about the chief of police??? The detective did make the news. One episode. He was never placed in jail. He just vanished.
I didn't have a camera. It's the word of a low totem officer against some of the most powerful people in the county. The good ol' boy system is alive and well. So is the black list.
Chunk I have nothing against police. It's the system of people turning a blind eye to things that the badge should never be tarnished with. If you are honest. If you respect your fellow man. If you see them as fellow American citizens. If you understand how to solve problems without just locking people up......You have my upmost respect.
The bad apples have made it to the tippy top of things. And the rotten has spread to most of the bottom. Even honest ants get stepped on.
Not fair .... I only have a CHL badge ~Only place my firearm doesnt go is within a jail/detention facility.
Not fair .... I only have a CHL badge ~
HA! I knew you bought one of those badges, lol
