As I mentioned in another thread, we have two immunocompromised at home. Getting it would be bad. That's primarily why I am when I must go out.

It's my understanding the mask is more to protect other people from the wearer sneezing and passing germs. And as a side benefit it keeps your fingers off your face.

An N95 does protect the wearer as well.
