Liked the above pic for obvious reasons...had to wear a mask to go to the Bastrop HEB today. First time in about a month. Ripped off the sleeve of a long sleeved work shirt, unfortunately for me it was not clean.

wore my rebel flag bandanna ....

Forget rebel flag. We need a source for some red MAGA facemasks like the hats that had the left all stirred up before because they hate Trump so much.

People got a slap on the wrist for knocking off a MAGA hat and maybe assaulting the wearer, but would the left dare knock off a mask during a pandemic? If they acted like they were going to, all you'd have to do is start coughing and watch them freeze and try and figure out what to do.

Why isn't someone making this already?

You’re fairly young and healthy; share your rationale, I’m intrigued.

I’m not judging at all, just curious.

My mother is an ICU nurse, who’s told me nothing but horror stories out of Boston. I’m not the best at hand washing/hand sanitizing and touch my face a lot. Also a nail biter. Where I live is densely populated with people from all walks of life. Frankly, I don’t trust anyone aside from myself, my lady and my dogs. My other half is a germaphobe too who essentially told me I had to wear one when I was with her in public. She’s immunocompromised and is scared of catching the rona.

I need to stop biting my nails, so the mask helps that too

I wear one to the grocery store to protect others in the case I am an asymtomatic carrier (surely not). Also to encourage others to do so so they keep their germs to themselves. Once I get my blue shop towels in, I’ll make a better one that actually seals, I think. I have an idea involving those and latex therabands. We will see.

I think you're the first person I've seen post here with a good reason for wearing one. Hope you're not wearing one of those surgical or activated carbon masks though.
My son just got lab results saying his neutrophils levels had dipped low. He takes an immunosuppressive medication to address a chronic autoimmune condition.

Can they be confirmed? With objective data?

Nothing against your Mom or you but, sometimes, forests & trees . . .

Hard data, I don’t have any. She’s a neonatal intensive care nurse. The hospital she works at, has transferred all of the neonates to 2 other hospitals and has converted their wing into an adult intensive care COVID-19 wing. The situation there is much more dire than here. Unless you’re there, I don’t think there’s a way to explain it

Edit: essentially the whole hospital is a COVID 19 treatment center.

The hospital she works at is MGH. Look it up
