    So is mine.
    And so am I!

She graduated second in her class. Last fall she started as a freshman at A&M.

Her sister, my youngest niece is just as smart.

We are very proud of both of them. They both worked hard to achieve what they have.

My father is very proud. They are going to be his first grandchildren to graduate college.

Agreed. Some nursing roles are more difficult than others is what I mean. They are all great.

I think you're the first person I've seen post here with a good reason for wearing one. Hope you're not wearing one of those surgical or activated carbon masks though.

As I mentioned in another thread, we have two immunocompromised at home. Getting it would be bad. That's primarily why I am when I must go out.

Neonatal nurses are very special people.

The best of the "best of the best," IMHO (Top Gun reference). I did a little time at ETCH. East Tennessee Children's Hospital. Those people, and their peers across the country, are the opposite of ordinary people. They are definitely a cut above.

I am going to up my mask game soon by adding a double layer of blue shop towels as a filter and work on a way to make it actually seal to my face. I already use a layer of breathable but bonded water resistant fabric called OlyFun (it’s cheap, comes in rolls for $2) from the craft/ fabric aisle at Walmart. It can’t be washed or take heat, but you can rotate or discard it as a one time filter. I’m using my mask only once or twice a week when I go out. I hope to up my game with the design/ components to where I am confident that I’m getting an increased level of protection.

I mean if we get it, we get it, but I would really rather not.

You’re fairly young and healthy; share your rationale, I’m intrigued.

I’m not judging at all, just curious.
I have a co-worker decide to stay home for the next few weeks and collect unemployment because of this virus.

He is my age( mid 30s) and looks healthy.

I talked to him about his reasons on his last day. Turns out, He has heard disease, had a major heart attack in his 20s, he is a diabetic, lived with his 80 yr old grandmother, and has a daughter with kidney disease.

Now I fully understand why he wants to stay at home.

In my line of work I find myself in several apartment buildings, occasional hospitals, hotels, and office buildings. I'd say high risk to bring it home.

I only wear my mask in the hospitals. Company policy to wear it in "high risk areas"
