Heard some SA city official state today on NPR that if you are working at a company you think is not exempt and is still open to call SAPD non emergency line to report it. My first thought was that I can see some of these lazy POSs looking to sit on their ass and collect rather then working doing this.

It doesn't matter what career field it is, 80% of the people in it will be mediocre to poor at it.
I wonder how many people are casualties of the panic stupidity? A friend of mine that lives in KS said a co-worker went to the ER last week with chest pains. The ER was so hyper focused on covid19 that after determining he didn't have it, they sent him home and said they would schedule a stress test later this month. He died Monday.

But only found 715 cases of covid, and 11 deaths. 75% of Texas counties haven't had a single case!
So in a state of 30 million people (depending on the number of illegals), you have roughly a .005% chance of contracting the disease, or 99.995% chance you won't catch covid.

Don't give in to the panicky chicken littles, stay hydrated and in good shape, there's going to be a lot of work to rebuild the economic damage done.

Yesterday was in check out at the grocery store. Guy in front of me is scratching his mouth and face with his credit card then shoves it in the card reader. I politely ask the cashier for a wipe because "this fool just rubbed his face grease all over the machine". He gave me a look then saw everyone else giving him the stink eye and huffed off.

We're still in the exponential growth phase as testing continues to ramp up. We won't be peaking for at least a few weeks if not longer.
Your math is wrong.
If they have only done 13235 test and have confirmed 715 case it’s about 5% infection rate.
You can’t use the untested population as part of the equation since it’s an unknown. Also, the small sample size of tested vs the entire population of Texas means the percentage isn’t really all that reliable.

WTF? That is stupid.
My in-laws live near us and officially decided they still want to see our family & kids rather than be totally isolated. They understand the risks. I'm not sure I'm 100% on board but they're not my parents. With my parents I've told them I want to hold off a little longer.
