    Proud of you, Bubba.
Doing your part to keep Austin weird...
Not in Austin but in Houston, I've been in three broken down buses and one wreck that stopped the bus. However these are "park and ride" coming in from about 35 miles out to the downtown area with one stop in between.

The one time it broke down we were about six blocks from downtown. If you know downtown Houston, you know the area right outside it can be "interesting." We all trekked like the seven dwarfs through hobo town. It was epic.
The time the bus was struck sufficient it stopped (I've been on several times where the bus just kept going) we all also bailed out.

However, having broken down on the freeway twice (maybe three times now that I think about it) you were not getting off until another bus came because, well, you would die. Austin drivers are wussies. Houston drivers will run you over on a side street, much less on the wrong side of a freeway.

One time there was a broke down prison bus on the left shoulder of I-45. They stopped traffic right in front of me so they could transfer the prisoners to the new bus. The new bus did a 20-point U-turn on the highway, then lined up door-to-door with the broken bus and transferred the prisoners, then did another 20-point. If someone walked off that bus, they'd be a badass and the story would be worth sharing. But walking off an Austin bus? Give me a break.

Seriously, do you even believe what you type? "Unlawfully tried to restrict my movements" what a joke!

    sent from wait...where am I!?
Got it man. You be a good German and follow orders. Ill be in the resistance if you need me.

You really dont understand how this illustration of such passivity is deeply troubling? People unwilling to make their own decisions., doing what they are told by someone with the tiniest shread of power who is "just following procedures"?

People are conditioned. This is a really telling example of that level of conditioning.

Dude now you're just sounding like an ass, so I hope its sarcasm. You got off a bus that broke down. By policy I am sure the busdriver is under standing SOP to keep passengers inside. You didn't fight Putin barechested in the Siberian snow to rescue political prisoners. Now that would be funny to watch.

Lots of people won't get off in that circumstance: the distance is far, they have walking difficulty, its hot (that one you should be familiar with, they are betting someone's coming along more quickly etc.)

Several people wanted to get off. Voiced that they wanted to do so. Im not talking about the disabled or elderly. Im talking about 30-40 year old able bodied guys.

As far as saying I sound like an "ass" I love how quickly intelligent discussion devolves to vulgarity here. Shows a real lack of a variety of characteristics.

It wasnt about me being a hero. It is about people sitting down because the gov employee told them to when they wanted to leave. This wasnt a cop taking charge of an emergency scene. It was a freaking bus driver and the good Germans listened like many of you would apparently.

That is what this is about. Not me.

Everyone wonders how governments massacre civilians. This mentality is how. For those of you who want to attack me (for whatever strange reasons) you do not understand history or politics and how civilians are conditioned by the government. This is how. If that doesnt concern you or you disagree, that is on you.

It could just people who couldn't really be bothered to get off. And whats your deal with Germans? You know a buttload of them settled here and helped create the greatest waterpark in the history of mankind, and really awesome desserts!

There, I kind of like this version better. I've been in an RV that caught on fire and nobody inside knew it for a while. I'm getting off the damn bus.

Why the Germans? Great well documented example of a group that conditioned their population over decades (if not centuries) to do what they were told...then massacred them.

Don't forget their government built prison/death camps for genocide and stacked and burned bodies within an unreasonable distance to their homes and property after disarming them. Those Germans had to live within smelling distance of the burning and rotting flesh of other Germans. They didn't question what was going on in their own country. Why should we?

Some german Americans actually changed their names to be less German because of the world wars.
