My comment was because I spend 99%+ amount of my time here in the great state of TX. My SIL lived in Long Beach and wifey-mate and I went to San Diego to visit her brother. The "Split Laners" came flying by at at least 70 MPH more than the stopped traffic. If anybody opens a door, unexpectedly changes lanes, they are toast. Saw the same thing last month in a work trip to LA. If I were on a motorcycle, it would scare the shit out of me.

Typically LS is filtering thru slow moving traffic, or going to the ft of the line at lights

Your description is more indicative of idiots on donor cycles

And why should I get to go to the front of the line at a light if I'm on my bike?

Cuz you'll be gone, excluding hardleys most bikes are faster then cars.

Hell I leave people behind at stoplights and my bike is only 125cc's lol

    Irrelevant.

Lots of real fast cars on the road. By your logic they should also get to jump to the front.

Only car faster then my busa was the 1500hp lambo I rode in, fur lots of fast cars, that's ? 1-2% nearly capable of bike speeds, that leaves ? 98% slow cars, let alone slow cars w slow drivers.

It's amazing how many cars I pass on the frwy w my top speed of 60mph on my grom

Btw, nobody is forcing anybody to LS, don't do it you're not comfortable doing it.

The TX law that was on the books said something about you had to have med ins and MSF training

Would just be nice if it were legal.

Saw a lane splitter the other day. Was almost comical when the guy in the pickup about four or five ahead of me suddenly swerved. The idiot on the bike damn near became one with the asphalt and a white Ford at the same time. Know for sure he's got a few scrape marks on his fiberglass saddle bags. I say almost comical because until my accident, my only transportation was a Harley. I just wasn't stupid enough to try and split the lanes.

    Once again, it's irrelevant.

Being faster has no bearing on pecking order at red lights. The car analogy still applies.

Secondly, shooting off from the re lights has its own dangers.

Having a fast bike, or any bike, doesn't make you special. The attitude you seem to have is what leads to the as swipe activities such as shutting down freeways and chasing families because they wouldn't give up the road.

Not saying you have/would do those things, but it's the same line if thinking that "I have a bike so I should be able to do these things" attitude.

And the drivers that aren't comfortable with the reckless behavior going on a few inches from their door?

The ones that don't want to deal with the idiot that catches their mirror or drags the side of their car?

But I guess that's ok because he had bike, he deserves to be at the front.

Not really, I'm getting out of drivers way and getting of the road quicker, 1 less vehicle on the road

if I'm "endangering" myself that's on me.

You do realize LS is the way of life in the rest of the WORLD

I ride my slow bike as fast as I can, I control my traffic situation. But that's me and what I advised my former students.

Lol, have you watched videos on how people drive in "the rest if the world"?

Your not speeding up anything for anyone but yourself, no matter how you try to justify it.

You've taught your students some very dangerous habits and I'm 100% positive you would not be allowed to teach the MCSC in Texas if that was part if your lesson plan.

Generally your gone before nervous nelly notices or by the time they get off the phone.

No worries. I've had JAsses turn into me, no biggie give them a wave on keep on keepin on.

My guess is you've only ridden HDs cuz it's rather easy on most any other types of bikes.

When you're riding a land yacht I prob wouldn't do it Either
