Probaly one of the very best choices anyone could make. I think if I saw myself in a passive role that would be my go to or if the changes of engagement were very low. Next best choice IMO is the 5.56 as an overall rd. My only issues with .22 is more of one in a defensive posture. Would not be afraid to use it in a one on one engagement.Ruger 10/22
