I never cared for putting all my eggs in one basket.

.50 BMG covering vehicles from the west and south from raised platform.

.308 Savage model 10 in raised platform covering open fields out to 1000.

ARs and SKS covering intermediate ranges. ARs initially placed to cover most likely routes of attack.

UZI and shotguns placed at fall back positions.

Hmmm, need to start building a nice sandbag barricade around the front porch.

Of course this is all end of the world type crap.

Too bad I sold all my guns a couple weeks ago to cover some bills.

Probaly one of the very best choices anyone could make. I think if I saw myself in a passive role that would be my go to or if the changes of engagement were very low. Next best choice IMO is the 5.56 as an overall rd. My only issues with .22 is more of one in a defensive posture. Would not be afraid to use it in a one on one engagement.

But your NUMBER 1 requirement is in fact putting protein on the fire and for that the Ruger 10/22 is and overall BEST!
