AMT Backup .380, all stainless steel. I loved the way it felt. Circa 1981

I could hit a soda can at about 8 feet. Everyone starts somewhere :)

My wife learned how not to grip a pistol by shooting one just like that - with her thumbs crossed across the backstrap - ouch!!

My first was an FIE 22lr SA with the 22 mag cylinder also. Sure wish I'd kept it. It was purchased at Walmart.

I have a 228, and I don't a circumstance ever happening that would make me sell it. Its a work of art.

Yep - that's one of many I wish I had back. Lesson: Never sell a gun.

Of course, I have one for sale right now. I said it was a lesson, not one I ever learned.

I had one of the very first P-229's and didn't like it at all. Part of the problem was the final realization that I'm just not a DA auto kinda guy. Mea culpa.

My first was a Star .380 single action and I should have kept it.

My dad bought me a Ruger Redhawlk, 5 ½-inch barrel, chambered in .357 magnum, 6 round capacity. I think I was about 16 or 17 years of age. It was a good thing that guns was so heavy... You couldn't tell you were shooting magnums.
