How good are you at grabbing your ankles? That's the kind of flexibility we'll need (and have had plenty of that already).

As an old fellow I've voted in many election on both sides and never have I been concerned with those who say they won't vote but this time is much different we have a clear choice between capitalism or Socialism/Marxism.Not a huge fan of Romney but Obama meant it when he said he wanted to change America and his view is not what America needs, our country is moving to the left and some of this will never change back. Please vote guys, not voting is a vote for Obama, if you want socialism then vote for Obama.

I wish I could skip the polls, and that the politicians would see that and give us some better choices next time. But it doesn't exactly work that way.

Skipping the polls this time will leave your self integrity intact - and may well have no effect on the outcome of Texas's part of the election.
But it will send no message whatsoever! The politicians will not miss you. And they will have no idea that you skipped the polls
Exactly... Not voting at all sends no message. This is where voting for a third party candidate or even a write in can be useful. If a third party takes enough of a percentage to be a nuisance, then all other parties are going to be trying to figure out how they can win those votes.

I do worry about more SCOTUS appointments if Obama is re-elected, but I think we're pretty screwed at this point either way.

    I think we're screwed anyway.

Not as much because of the diminishing liberties but because of 100 years of crappy monetary policy and the US dollar as an international exchange medium coming to an end.

If we're going "single issue" on this then a candidate's monetary policy is going to have a more significant effect on you than their stance on gun control. Gun control is at least partially Constitutionally protected, but balanced spending and "weights and measures" are determined by Congress at their discretion. We need to a balanced budget amendment. We need to reign in the Fed and get the role of the Treasury re-defined to what it should be.

Neither Romney nor Obama will push for this. That's why its a fail either way. Its unbelievably frustrating that the average person doesn't understand or doesn't invest the time to research the implications of monetary policy with the wealth of information out there on the topic.

You are significantly less likely to have to defend yourself with a gun if the economy is stable. Crime follows poverty.

Why don't people get this? ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

just jk. I thought I was facing the same dilemma. Then I saw a picture of Arlington National Cemetery. I thought about how I was going to explain to them my lousy excuse for not voting. Then I stopped and listened for a moment. I'm so efin fed up with politics and politicians in this country... but I WILL go and cast my ballot this November. Win, lose, doesn't matter. It IS what they died for. So I do it for them. Not myself. They are so much greater than I could ever aspire to be. Peace bro.

I agree with Mexican Hippie. Either way we're screwed. I feel like I'm voting for either brain or lung cancer same result just different ways of getting there.
