    The Lacey dog makes a GOOD family pet PROVIDED that they have a JOB to DO. Bored working dogs will INVENT things to do to keep from becoming bored & you may not care for their invented activities.- That is true of most of the working breeds.

    A school chum has a male/female pair out of the same litter & David says that they are instinctively protective of "their pack".

    Yeah, Texas has more public land than Rhode Island is large, although our public land for hunting is broken up, dispersed, and not all parcels allow for the hunting of hogs.

    I don't know of any that allow rifle and those that allow shotguns are generally restricted to #4 shot (not buck). Bow hunting is the way to go.
