Been in Costa Rica on vacation the past two weeks. You see a lot of cool Land Rovers and all generations and types of Toyota Land Cruisers everywhere. FJ40’s are seen around as both work trucks and collector cars, ironically.

I opted for a base model stick shift Jimny for my rental. It’s taken me all over this country and it’s shitty roads with relative ease. I can see why they didn’t bother making it for the US market though.
