. I've got 50# of Hardball Alloy on hand. That's at least 2,000.
    .

Isnt it weird to think of it that 50 pounds of lead will only net you 2k bullets? Always makes me think about perspective when I do the math.

I do have a stick of hardball a guy gave me. Been meaning to cast some 450bm bullets with it but now I'm thinking of using it for some 10mm bear loads.

I hear you on this.. I hate loading out in the garage during the summer so this past spring I brought my Dillons and single stage into my office. Much more enjoyable experience..

The Dillons have been spoiling me. I never want to use a single stage ever again... I just loaded 100 45 LC on it and I was damn near clawing my eyes out from how tedious that has become. I cant believe I use to crank out thousands of .223 on that thing...

I'll still use a single stage. For load development and some specialty stuff where I'm loading small quantities.. But yeah, for production purposes the progressive really helps.

Technically 2,200 158 gr.. But you can't cast every drop. Gotta figure in the "waste", even if you can recycle it. I always allow 10% when doing my guzintas. 10% might be a little high.

Spent some time in the garage sorting AAHS28 gauge hulls.
My shooting buddy died last month and I’ve been helping his wife clean out the gun stuff. My club has a swap/sell time before the monthly meeting. Last meeting I sold a nice Browning luggage gun case for $100.

My tumbler died last week. It should have been posted in the 2024 Dead pool thread.

Anywho, I found some brand new 8mm Mauser brass in my stash box so I’m going to load some up.

Going to use the Nosler 180 gn BT, Winchester large rifle primer and Accurate 4064.

    Wish me luck.

Found a few boxes of 30-06 reloaded by someone else. I know I got some on a gun trade and some from an estate sale way back many years ago.
Basically unloaded some reloaded and disposed of the whole mess.
Powder was in clumps brass was corroded a bit. Saved the 150s,180s and tossed the 220s.
Now I need to unprime or toss them in the firepit.

I haven't been able to find any Blue Dot, having to go with Accurate #5 or #7
I bought some from American reloading. Its something like MP250 powder. They list it as "similar" to blue dot. They demil ammo and sell the components so they can't actually sell it as blue dot but I compared the 2 and they look identical. I have used their powders many times in the past ad well with great results. I have a small amount ot AA7 on hand but only like 1500 grains or so. Not really enough to bother trying to work a load up. I have a bunch of lovex powder comparable to AA5 but I think AA5 is too fast for this round.

If I was you I'd start with the AA7 or find some AA9. What bullet are you using?
