Loaded 10 test rounds for the 45-70 trapdoor. Using Reloader 10, 405 gr. soft lead, powder coated. If it will stop raining, heading out to the pond to see how they group at 300 yds.

Rick, what dia. bullets do you shoot in your 45/70? I have a couple molds that are too small for my rifles. (.457) they need a new home.

    I have 3... 340 gr. 405 gr. and a 450 gr.
    All in .457 dia.
None of my rifles will shoot them.
Got to be at least .458- .459 is even better.

I love that H335 for small cases. Getting great groups (3/8") in 223 with it.

I was surprised how good the groups were out of an AR using H335 with 55 grain FMJ plinking rounds. Around 2” at 100 yards out of a PSA 16” upper. That was with zero load development. I think I set the powder drop to 25 grains, and set the seating depth to the cannelure, then went to town on the turret press.

Resized 15 7-30 waters cases. Kinda forgot I had these. I got these from a guy who was sending me some 30-30 brass which will require resizing and fireforming. He discovered he had these cases and threw them in as well.

I ordered a bullet mold that I didn't even know existed.... a Lee mold, 105gr SWC for the .358 crowd.
I had toyed with the idea of getting a .32 cal revolver, but decided to just stick with my .38 special, but work up loads with lighter recoil.

They aren't for me, since I'm so manly and all that, but for any girly types that don't like the snap of full .38 special loads.....

    ok, they're for me....

anyway, I have a 125 gr mold, and it's pretty nice, but thought I'd give the 105 gr a whirl... what's the worst that could happen? I might like it?

And this would still be more power than the .32's, theoretically....
