There's got to be a better way
The RCBS electric trim station with a three way cutter head works well. It is slow but a "set it and forget it" operation. When the case comes out it is trimmed and chamfered. Not cheap though.

When I had mine they only had the three way heads for .308 and .223 but there are many more available now.

I've actually just been going out to the garage and doing a little here and a little there when I have a chance. I've got a pretty good rythum down now.

I sized a couple thousand .223 cases. Once fired range brass that I am going to trim and swage. Fun, especially when I add them to the thousand or so I already have sized.

I cleaned some brass and then deprimed, sized and primed some .308 brass. Going to work up a load with some 165gr HPBT Sierra Gamekings.

Ordered a replacement shell holder for the 300 wm, drop the last one and rolled into the only place I can't recover it from. Well not for the price of a new one.

    Sent from somewhere.

Emptied my range bag of the brass I picked up (.223, .45, 12g, 9mm, probably some random other calibers). Dumped the steel and aluminum cases and seperated the shotgun hulls. Put the brass in a big ziploc to sort later.

Finally finished trimming my last bit of 7.62x39. Ran half through the tumbler last night, other half is in right now. This was tumbled, sized and deprimed, primer pockets trimmed, trimmed to length, and now tumbled again. Gonna work on priming tonight and maybe reloading over the next week.

After contemplating the beauty of the new box of 308 Barnes 165 gr TSX BT on my desk, I worked up a chart of loads for my next range trip. Previously I shot 5 rounds each of Varget charges from 41gr to 45 gr in 1/2 gr increments. Narrowed down to 42.5 to 43.5 as most promising and will do 0.2 gr spreads next. This is with Winchester brass CCI primed, wondering if I run the same thing with Lake City how much I need to modify the charges?

Loaded 112 rounds of .38 specials. Now I'm out of .38 brass. :(

Need to find some small pistol magnum primers and start working over the .357's.

    Gunz are icky.
    Several things:

1.) the 20ga roll crimper tool finally arrived. Now can make blackpowder shotshells from plastic hulls.
2.) fixed the cap&ball loading press so I can load the .31 caliber cylinders.
3.) attempted to fit some mold handles to a mold block I found cheap on flea-bay. Failed. Now I know why it was cheap.
4.) put a brass valve on the cap of the new plastic BP bottles. Old gear no workie.
5.) completely stripped down a new c&b revolver. Cleaned. Relubed. Reassembled.
