Bought one of these. Army surplus had a pile. Gerber gut hook. I mean Gerber military strap cutter(short). $15, made in America. 420 carbon steel. It's job is to slice belly. Maybe some tarp.

I ate a burger. In the short run, it kept me alive for a little bit longer. In the long run, it took out some top end life years due to its inherent unhealthiness

You need a little fat. If SHTF, you can cut your calorie intake from 3000 down to a minimum of 1500. Till you lose the gut. Then you'll need the Big Mac 3000 a day.

20-30# past your ideal weight. That's two or three weeks of storage.

I thought about buying more Mountain House freeze dried food. I considered making a rain collection barrel out of a plastic trash can. Ordered some ammo.

I filled up my tank and aired my tires to 45psi. I'm carrying a lunchbox, m&p shield, kabar knife, CRKT knife, safety glasses, water, cash, napkins, Popeyes Cajun Sparkle, and I live on the coast.

If I can't survive for a few days with what I have, I've been bombed.

I wonder if it really requires that much glue, or if it would work with less, at the sacrifice of more time?
While interesting, not a very practical way to start a fire.

I guess it would be good if you had no matches and a crate of super glue and cotton balls .

I bought two of these, a bunch of months back. Light My Fire brand. It'll light a bare cotton ball with one swipe. Im gonna get a package of cotton face wafer wipes and give them a wax bath. The cotton balls take up more space then the wafers.
