Let's get things straight, the TEXIT movement is NOT about seceding, it's about limiting the power of the Federal Gov that it has over Texas. Right now, every other blue state/city/county cries to D.C. and tells them that Texas should do this or that. We don't need other states determining or laws. The TEXIT movement is about telling D.C. and the other states to keep their damn hands out of our business.
'xactly, and that's what boundaries are for. If they don't respect them, then they are needed all the more.

they should change the name then. Because that nomenclature means exit.

I wish everyone who thinks America sucks would just fucking leave already and not come back.
That's the idea. It's about to start sucking real bad. You Yanks just don't understand what it is to be Texan first and Texan forever. Hell, most of the other "states" were just manufactured by Congress. That's why they think of themselves as just federal districts with no real distinct history or culture.
And by the way, Texas has always been conservative. Even our Democrats were conservative when they were in power. We didn't need outsiders to come here and turn us Republican. We just needed the Demonicrat Party to turn itself anti-American/Socialist.

Well, I moved here from Commiefornistan, 12 years ago, originally from Oklahoma, but my parents took me out to Ca when I was 3 and it took me 53 years to escape. As for being Conservative, I always say VERY. Now my ancestors immigrated to Texas, with a guy named Stephen Austin, they were part of the "300," and they burned their home and business to the ground to prevent the Mexican army from crossing the river to attack Houston's forces. Anyway, something needs to be done to express to the overbearing Federal Government that "We the people," will not accept being run over roughshod by elites who believe they are "our betters!" Texit is as good a place to start as any.

Born in Hell's Kitchen here and grew up in Jersey.

Nothing funnier than listening to native Texans whine about out-of-staters, when for 150 years all they did was keep electing anti-gun Democrats to run Texas. Not until the dot com explosion and Texas saw first major influx of out-of-staters did it turn Republican. Without us, Texas would still be Democratic.

Thank goodness for you. Nothing better in this world than folks like you coming here and improving everything just with your presence. Everything is just better, you just need to ask 'em. They are absolutely right all the time and surely are more badass than any of them pussy Texans. Now only if all you New Yorkers, Bostonians, and Jersies would just show all these southerners how to grill and bbq.

If TNM is ever considered a domestic terrorist group at least I will have friends at reeducation class.

Heh....then we could all say "Hey....that guy on TV...I know that guy." Chicks dig celebrities as well. ;) I'm betting it won't be long before it's at least (if not already) on some sort of watch list.

The next logical step by the Democrats in demonizing Texas as a state and Texans who are not leftists as a group is to label us as Confederate Racist Secessionists. They will

Now, now, now....if you're going to dis the man, you all need to learn the language. Think department alphabet IDs. You know, DEA, FBI, etc. We also need to start using bigger words as well, so "....is to label us as Confederate Racist Secessionists" should be changed to "....is to morally distinguish us as CRS."

Your comments are a bit misleading. Back when Democrats were actually a unifying party, one that actually gave a shit about the working man, supposing that was actually a fact back then. Back when there were moderates in both parties but especially the Democratic party. I tell you now I'd take 1 Bill Clinton today over 100 Bidens any day. There was a time simply being a Democrat didn't evoke the feelings of digust as they do today. If you believe Texans wouldn't of made it without y'all.... Yeah, we would have. But if you choose to believe otherwise that's ok too.
Let me understand this. Democrats cared about people? Democrats like LBJ that put 58,000 people's names on a granite wall on the National Mall so Brown Root and other suppliers could make alot of money. Yes, that Brown Root of Houston, Tx.

The Democrats that unified people ....did you not have a tv in the 60's?

It would be nice if they could teach us how to win our Independence. It's been a while since we last threw off an unconstitutional federal government. Probably like riding a bike though.

No, I mean it. It's good that we can disagree on how to think about certain things that are still conservative in nature and not be "cancelled" out of conservatism or labeled a heretic for not toeing the party line. Having disagreements doesn't make us enemies.

A bit late for 1836, eh?
My great grandmother's father, Joshua Davidson Robinson (b. 1825), was a bit young for 1836, but his older brother George Washington Robinson was at the Siege of Bexar, and later, under Captain William Ware, at San Jacinto where he was wounded. Their father, William Robinson, was a preacher, active during that time, but not a fighter, TTBOMK.

The rest of my ancestors only arrived in Texas later, during the 1840's and 50's, including my paternal great grandfather (1853), but all my branches trace back to Texas before 1860.

    "Can't Remember Shit", right?

When I was a teenager, I got a CSA belt buckle... I quit wearing it when my brother said, Cock Suckers of America... Beware initialisms...
