I beg to differ... You, in your reply, used the word "Prejudice".... Before I tell you why you're wrong I'm going to post the definition of that word. Perhaps you'll see the error of your ways without me explaining it - But I kinna doubt it.

    Definition of prejudice
    (Entry 1 of 2)
1: injury or damage resulting from some judgment or action of another in disregard of one's rights especially : detriment to one's legal rights or claims
    2a(1): preconceived judgment or opinion
(2): an adverse opinion or leaning formed without just grounds or before sufficient knowledge
b: an instance of such judgment or opinion
c: an irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, a group, a race, or their supposed characteristics

The attitude you see displayed by Texans was earned. We are, as a general rule, a welcoming people. We have no preconceived notions. We are also a very observant people. We listen closely to what is said but even more closely we watch what is done. What we've watched is non-Texans populate our major cities and as that happened over time we've seen those same cities turn into shitholes and become an embarrassment to the state of Texas. You claim that on a beach of sand with grains to numerous to count - you are different. You may be but to try and complain or fault your accusers you should understand where you are and how your accusers formed their opinions. It wasn't with hate, it wasn't supposition but through experience we, as Texans, learned to distrust folks claiming to be "Just like us". No, you're not. You are welcome here - as long as you don't bring your baggage with you. But as we Texans have learned, over and over again, that seldom happens. The only one grouping you with all the other countless grains of sand - is you!

I moved here from that shithole - Cuomoistan. I do not appreciate your abject bias, in fact I think it sucks big-time and think bigots like you are just that - bigots. Yours is a prejudice that many Texans (including quite a few TGT members) seemingly share without any basis in fact for each individual who has moved out of NY and to be frank I am sick and tired of reading it over and over again in the posts made by prejudiced folks like you. I was a New Yorker for most of my life with a 4 year stint in extreme (and quite conservative at the time) southern CA. I have also lived in Las Vegas, AZ and TX for months at a time in each either due to personal life or work assignments. I have traveled the states extensively visiting 48 of 50 (will never go to Hawaii and just missed ND again last year on a trip including NM, CO, WY, SD and some others). I've been there (enough places) and done that (enough things) to have a well rounded life and to see things clearly as to how this country should be run.

Thus, I have never voted for a democrat in my life in any state or federal election; did so once in a local election (but he was a fiscal conservative and his opposition were outright socialist/commies) but never in any other election and likely never will do so in the future. I consider myself more of a libertarian than conservative but have pretty strong conservative leanings. Yet, when I joined these forums some arsehat told me not to NY his TX. Get that - HIS Texas! I guess he thinks rather highly of his position within this state (he has shown himself as a blowhard over and over again). He also has proven himself, within his writings in this forum, to hold at least some socialist ideals close to his heart as have some others. Go figure.

Frankly, I think the federal government should get its head out of its arse and out of citizens' & legal resident aliens' business. As far as the Federal government goes, it should, by way of its authority as limited by our Constitution, protect our citizens and their rights above all else and protect the integrity of out borders (illegal aliens - round em up and remove them pronto), our technology, our jobs, our economy and so on. There should be no use of any foreign made objects by our government agencies - none at all if at all possible. Everything they use should be made in the USA whenever possible - no excuses. Customs duties should be re-implemented so that this can be assured with super high duties on foreign made goods that would compete with those made in the USA. There should be zero trade between the USA and countries that are our avowed or suspected enemies such as Russia, China, Cuba, Venezuela, Iran and so on. No foreign aide should go to any such country and no foreign aide should go to any country until everything in the USA is just about perfect - our money should be used for our citizens and legal resident aliens direct benefit. I am totally against socialism and against most unions since most advocate socialist ideals, in my opinion. I believe their should be a Constitutional right to work without being forced to become a union member or pay union dues. I think that Social Security, medicare, medicaid and most welfare should be abolished. I believe in freedom of speech but not that it equates to freedom of expression; the framers of the Constitution knew the difference between expression and speech and specified freedom of speech when they wrote the first amendment into the Bill of Rights. I also believe that the federal government should have no part in paying for abortions or in saying whether or not they are legal or illegal. Abortion does not fall under the purview of the federal government's authority within the Constitution in any way, shape or form. The federal government should not be involved in anything for which it has not received authority in the Constitution. I believe in term limits for Congresscritters. As for getting the USA's military involved in conflicts that are the business of other nations - not one of our troops should set foot on foreign soil to fight for a country that has proven itself an enemy of the USA, to assist enemies of the USA or to hold anti-American sentiments (such as Afghanistan and Iraq, many African nations and even some in Europe) to liberate them or assist them in any military manner. If we want to wipe out terrorists, we need not lose one member of the military in doing so - we can use drones and drones alone to snuff them out. As for the 2nd amendment - go figure for yourself what I believe - hint, I am a member on this forum. By the way, I feel pretty much the same about state governments as I do about the federal government as to how they should operate.

Thing is, there are millions of New Yorkers who think like me, vote like me, work(ed) like me, support the Constitution like me, and love our country just as do I. Sadly we are outnumbered by those who believe otherwise but judge us not by them or their actions because we are not them!
Having read that, all I can say is...

Yankees... even when they seem to agree with you, it's still hard to like them.

The next logical step by the Democrats in demonizing Texas as a state and Texans who are not leftists as a group is to label us as Confederate Racist Secessionists. They will then categorize us as a domestic terrorist group since the hidden agenda under the guise of independence is to undermine the U.S. government. This is what the Third Reich would have done and this is exactly what they will do. While they have little to fear from Wyoming, North Dakota, etc., Texas is simply to big a threat to the lies and socialist indoctrination that they will not wait another 20 years for us to turn over with the increased flow of immigration.

Texans will not wait 20 years and neither will the Maoists.

There are too many pro-secession Tejanos for the racist theory of secession to ever really work.

I decided to join the Texas Nationalist Movement last night or commonly called TEXIT because we have to do something to combat what biden is doing. Today he past more stupidity he past that the federal govt will pay for foreign abortions, passed another one that said Chin Virus or Wuhan virus will not be used in the federal govt. He so far passed 40 executive orders that are bringing the United States to it's knees . Even Rush agrees that we will never win another election with what they are doing.

What makes you think Texas would be better off? It would be complete chaos as folks moved in/out of Texas for whatever reasons before it took effect. I think most wealth would leave Texas due to uncertainty. And one thing that aint leaving are all the liberal cities. My guess is secession would leave Texas worse off. How much Federal Debt would we have to take on? What are we going to do for currency? Defense?

What happens if illegals from CA come to get citizenship and leave Texas Majority hispanic and want make language Spanish?

Nothing funnier than listening to native Texans whine about out-of-staters, when for 150 years all they did was keep electing anti-gun Democrats to run Texas. Not until the dot com explosion and Texas saw first major influx of out-of-staters did it turn Republican. Without us, Texas would still be Democratic.

Been upstate, met alot of nice people. Would not go to NYC for love or money. But then I avoid Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio too. Love them backroads.

Learn to talk slow. Texans only talk as fast as they can think. Talk really, really slow for me. LOL! And never admit to eating anything other than BBQ or TexMex. Learn a few cuss words in Spanish and always demand salsa with your breakfast burrito.

Your comments are a bit misleading. Back when Democrats were actually a unifying party, one that actually gave a shit about the working man, supposing that was actually a fact back then. Back when there were moderates in both parties but especially the Democratic party. I tell you now I'd take 1 Bill Clinton today over 100 Bidens any day. There was a time simply being a Democrat didn't evoke the feelings of digust as they do today. If you believe Texans wouldn't of made it without y'all.... Yeah, we would have. But if you choose to believe otherwise that's ok too.

Sure there were millions of native Texans that saw the light, but they needed the out-of-staters to get it over the finish line. There is no scenario where continuing to elect Democrats was going to get CHL passed and other pro-gun/defense laws passed. Ann Richards was against it, as were most Democrats. It took an anti-Democrat voting pattern, driven by out-of-staters, to get Bush and other Republicans to get it done.

Let's get things straight, the TEXIT movement is NOT about seceding, it's about limiting the power of the Federal Gov that it has over Texas. Right now, every other blue state/city/county cries to D.C. and tells them that Texas should do this or that. We don't need other states determining or laws. The TEXIT movement is about telling D.C. and the other states to keep their damn hands out of our business.
